You don't do it via the addon. You do it via the repo. All explained in the link

I did check for updates 1st on repository but nothing triggered as result of it, then i tried manual update on addon and actually an error occured, installation failed (likely cause of the same version number), as last resort i went to the manual way. So i did check on repository, i still tried to replace version afterwards when the 1st step didn't trigger anything, and finally went to manual and gotten it working again.

There was an issue in Kodi 18 that has now been fixed
Just pushed the changes to the repo.
So, API error fixed in 0.7.5
This was a massive change to Disney's latest API (https://github.com/matthuisman/slyguy.addons/commit/beefa703fc2bfa447e31b73e18462916f4bb9e84)
Unfortunately, there latest api doesn't return Movie or Series descriptions in the main listing calls.
You can now use context menu > information to see this if needed.
Regional / internalisation should work better now though

You need to enable "Sync with Disney+" in addon settings

I see. It's just that sometimes I don't want to send my viewing progress to disney+ but of course I still want to access my watchlist.

just pushed v0.7.8
This fixes Skip Credits that broke with 0.7.5
Also improved / fixed the Skip Intro.
It will now correctly only skip the intro - and not everything before it (recaps etc)

Just pushed 0.7.9
this adds a new setting to disable / enable the Disney+ watchlist
So now you can have sync off, with or without watchlist
