Ok, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the addon again. I thought maybe something was going on with Widevine also.... on my Shield, running 18.9, I'm able to play some things, but not others. In particular, Black Widow and Muppet Haunted Mansion both act like they're going to play, even asks what resolution I want, and no matter what I choose, they never play.

When I use my testbed, which is on Windows 10, I am able to play everything, no problems. All settings are the same on both systems....so I'm at a loss.....

Seems no one has yet got 1080p.
Even if they do, its not going to be Widevine so no use to us
I did manage to find a way to get H265 though for L3, but still only upto 720p
less bandwidth at least. And HDR / Dolby Vision at L3 still no go

Save this as a .strm instead of a .txt file and give it a name that imdb, etc. ... will recognize when scanning into the library.
Given how simple it is to do this manually, shouldn't it be fairly easy to integrate an add to library feature like the Netflix addon has? Doing this manually was easy and didn't take too long for something like the Mandalorian but if I wanted to do it for the clone wars which has over 100+ episodes it would not be worth the effort.
I made a very quick and dirty php script to do it per season of an episode.
First save https://pastebin.com/5pXqEhgx as generate_strm_files_from_disney.php.
Then with a web browser browse the season page logged in to Disney+ and save the full web page to your harddrive.
The on the source run the php script like this:

This should generate .strm files for that season in the current directory.
No warranty given and has only been tested with Mandalorian and on UNIX based OSes.
Hi @nimonimo. I have tried to use your script on win10 but I always get the same error. How can I make it work? I've tried on different tv-shows.

Hi @matthuisman, I have some questions:
1. I play the disney library with .strm files (inside there is the link to your add-on), but unfortunately some films do not have the language I prefer. Since the audio part is not decrypted, is it possible to find a way to add a second .strm file in which there is only the audio manifest of the track to be played (obviously taken from another country) or better to set an extra option in the plugin to do so?
2. Is there a way to export the whole disney library directly from your add-on without having to install other plugins like Library Integration Tool?
My country is in Europe.

1) No idea. That would be a Kodi feature if possible. Or are you asking if possible to select a different country than your own? Can you do this on their official apps or website?

So if anyone has more than an account, can easily watch what prefers.

Now that IMAX versions of some films are available, I have noticed that the film ID is the same for both versions. Obviously the manifest changes. Is there a way to be able to watch both versions?

I noticed that in the Featured category, Because You Watched Marvel Studios' Iron Man is incorrectly displayed as Because You Watched ${title}
Which is displayed correctly on both the website and the app.
The problem does not seem to be related to the Profiles setting language.
FYI, Disney Plus is now launch in Korea and Taiwan. Add-On Working well.

Germany here. With both versions I mean: IMAX and widescreen. I want to be able to watch both versions through the plugin. Just this.
These movies have all the languages I want. For others I have to switch to the italian account.

I just realized the last version you play in the official app will be the version that starts playing in kodi. Maybe that's a work around for now.

There is a new add-on setting Playback > Default Ratio
Options are Ask, IMAX, Widescreen (IMAX is default)
If set to Ask, if you allow you to choose IMAX or Widescreen when starting playback

The problem has been fixed, good job.
I would like to ask if you can add CDN selection feature to the add-on? I noticed that Disney Plus uses multiple CDN providers.
Maybe we can choose it? E.g. Akamai, Level 3, Fastly. maybe it can solve some speed issues in special cases.

You can do this already using url_subs.txt that is supported by all my add-ons.
Create a file called url_subs.txt in the userdata folder for the add-on you want it used for.
Then add the below lines to it

It appears that Disney is currently using HTTP, but can redirect to HTTPS.
