any1 knows if there's a code break in the newer svn-builds regarding skins? mediastream isn't working anymore somehow on the latest build - any1 else has this problem?

I tricked it.. but I donĀ“t know if it is the correct way to do it.

In the skin folder, open the skin.xml file with notepad and change the verion to 2.11. It works for me... but not as well as with the previous versions of XBMC because some icons ( local drives for example ) are not displayed... I think ( I hope ) it will be solved in future versions.

Regards

One is for video cards with dierctX support (DX), the other with openGL support (GL).

Kricker, I tried installing the DirectX version but when I load xbmc it complains a d3dx.dll is missing? Is this a DirectX system file? Because I ran dxdiag and found that I have DirectX9 installed. I should be able to run the DX version right?

(ASRock 330 Dual-Core Atom), (NVidia GeForce 9400 gfx)

I tried reproducing your problem but couldn't.. that said, even tho you have DX9 installed, you might not have all the necessary libraries.. try downloading and installing..
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=04ac064b-00d1-474e-b7b1-442d8712d553 - that should (hopefully) fill in the blanks. (The link is to the August 09 DX9 redistributable from Microsoft)

Or you can just grab the smaller web installer and it'll download whatever files it believes are missing. The file you need is called D3DX9_41.dll. If you grab just that file from the net you can place it in the XBMC folder and all will be okay (That's what I did).

22928, should work with ExternalPlayer right?

- kricker - 2009-09-17

ExternalPlayer has been built in for a while now.

Rev 22975 DX is working beutifully with Aeon & intel built in X4500HD constant 60FPS in the main menu but there is still lag once you enter Movies, TVshows or click on settings, drops to 30FPS in movies & holds on that.

never the less great work bro Big Grin
