Remote power button shuts down system and can not remap - jayywhatt - 2020-05-24 I have kodi leia running on windows 10, I purchased this remote control https://www.amazon.com/Remote-Control-Android-Projector-Player/dp/B07NNWRG3B/ref=sr_1_17?dchild=1&keywords=kodi+remote&qid=1590344556&sr=8-17 I like the remote but the power button function shuts down the system. I have googled and tried to add a remote.xml to the userdata with no success. I have also tried the keymap editor addon with no luck as it shuts down the system before I can remap. Would someone be kind enough to help me? I would love the power button to just close kodi and not shut down the system RE: Remote power button shuts down system and can not remap - PatK - 2020-05-24 I think it's a hardware command on that limited button device and not re-mappable. Out of curiosity how is the microphone? OK, maybe I can stop it from shutting down on the windows side instead of kodi. I did not even know it was possible to shut down windows 10 with one button press. I am not even sure how to remote communicates yet, I think it just emulates keyboard strokes. [[moving PatK] The Kodi hardware forum might be better suited to your query with many expert users, and I think I remember a few words on this very remote. |
