HEVC x265 in Kodi on FireTV - kiyolsakie6 - 2020-06-30
Some media files in my library are of the HEVC x265 type. They don't play in Kodi on my Fire Stick at all. Kodi just keeps loading. However, it seems the file is playing in the background since I see a play button and time progressing. However, there is no sound or image.

Firestick is a cut down version of Androd, so I'll move the post along to support for Android.
This link might save you some trouble, some users claim MX player(v1.10.51) plays them but playback is very choppy.

You can also try VLC player

Make sure Mediacodec and Mediacodec Surface is enabled. Else post a Debug Log
