RE: YouTube - xenophrenia - 2024-10-23 "No Streams Found" Nothing plays - just got done watching a video - screen went back to Kodi menu and I opened the YouTube app ... clicked on one of the videos listed and it said "no stream found" - clicked on another one - same thing ... NONE of them play any ideas? did YouTube change something? RE: YouTube - testxp28 - 2024-10-23 Hello A lot of reading, I don't know where to look for the problem anymore My Amazon Fire TV 4K Max Kodi 21 OMEGA Please help me what version of youtube works for me?? RE: YouTube - davorf - 2024-10-25 Hello! I've been using YouTube add-on for some time and it is working rather well for me. I was just wondering if it's possible to change the number of recommended videos displayed per page? I know there's a setting "Items per page" (and I even tried changing default and maximum values in settings.xml to 50000, and then setting it to 50000) but it does not affect Recommendations. It does reflect on My Subscriptions and Related Videos, but not Recommendations. Is there any way to do this - i.e. to fully disable pagination and display all the available content as one page? Best regards, Davor RE: YouTube - testxp28 - 2024-10-25 Hey Can you help me what version works for you?? I have Amazon Fure TV MAX?? If you're asking me, it's the latest version from official Kodi repository - installed from Kodi (not file). Edit: I'm using Kodi on Amazon Fire Cube 3rd gen Best regards, Davor RE: YouTube - MoojMidge - 2024-10-28 (2024-10-20, 21:28)tool_king01 Wrote: Problem solved in the meantime. Thanks anyway. What you may personally experience may be completely different to someone else, so if you have a problem you need to provide sufficient detail of what that problem is. Being cryptic about things achieves nothing. You need to provide some information if you want help. Provide a description of the issue and a debug log: https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy (2024-10-25, 14:13)davorf Wrote: Is there any way to do this - i.e. to fully disable pagination and display all the available content as one page? Not possible due to API limitations. May be possible to workaround the limits in the future, but not looking to disable pagination completely. Is it at least possible to have Recommendations in line with other sections (My subscriptions, Related), i.e. take Items per page setting into account (which is set to 50), and not limit Recommendations to 24 + next page link? Not at this stage. The limitations are different for recommendations as that uses a different API. I was referring to potentially working around those limitations, but no plan on when that may occur. RE: YouTube - JohnnyBluRay - 2024-10-29 I have noticed a big delay in NEW videos appearing on the Subscription tab as compared to the individual channel videos. Is there a way I can make the videos appear sooner on the subscription tab? I have gone completely out of Kodi, rebooted and reloaded Kodi/Youtube and still newer videos not showing, However, in the individual channels the appear. RE: YouTube - blueribb - 2024-10-30 After many months of no issues, my YouTube addon crashed and burned tonight. I updated to 7.0.9.2 and signed in twice (actually way more than twice), but it kept failing and giving an error message which I keep missing in the bottom right corner. I am running Libreelec 12.0.1 (Kodi Omega 21.1) on an Intel 8th Generation NUC. I never had to supply any files since my addon always worked. I don't even know how to supply these files. Both my TV's are new and have YouTube built-in, no it's no big loss for me but I would still like to have the addon working again in Kodi (Libreelec). Update: I was able to catch some of the error message > "error - invalid client type - token has been expired or revoked 400" (I may have mixed up some of the message) My API keys are many years old and have never failed until today. Should I make all new keys? Is there a recent instructional page or video for making new keys? RE: YouTube - kingsombra - 2024-10-30 There is definitely something wrong with the way the add-on deals with playlists. And it is very easy to reproduce. 1) Just install add-on fresh, with no API 2) Create a strm file pointing to a video that you would like to play and repeat.
3) In kodi "Q" this strm file and check repeat: one or repeat: all in the playlist. 4) Play the strm file, let it go, and see what happens when repeat tries to play it a second time. It will NOT play the video a second time. (It definitely looks like it actually errors) I am thinking that it might have something to do with the fact the add-on changes the name to the actual name of the video. Pretty much every version (Ive tried them all) for the past few years does this. NOW BEFORE YOU SAY... Get an API, I refuse to EVER have a google account. Ill deal with having to download videos with FDM+elephant first, and just not have to use this add-on at all, before I get a google account. I guess I don't need to generate a new Client ID or Client Secret, but I'm not sure. I also don't know if I was supposed to click "new project" before generating a new API. Update: I entered the new API and it still would not work. I did confirm the new project (external) and published it. Do I have to wait for it to activate? The double authentication still fails with code 401 RE: YouTube - MoojMidge - 2024-10-30 (2024-10-29, 16:16)JohnnyBluRay Wrote: I have noticed a big delay in NEW videos appearing on the Subscription tab as compared to the individual channel videos. How big a delay? The channel feeds are locally cached for 1 hour. (2024-10-29, 16:16)JohnnyBluRay Wrote: Is there a way I can make the videos appear sooner on the subscription tab? If you really can't wait for an hour, then you can open the context menu and select Refresh. Would caution against spamming this as there have been reports of IP bans related to this. It may be related to this: https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/issues/810 but if you have a problem then would need to see a debug log (2024-10-30, 20:47)blueribb Wrote: I found 2 files that contained the old API and installed the new key. I still get an error message when verifying on google dot com / device. The error message is: Invalid Client Type - Code 401 See step 10 of the instruction here: https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.video.youtube/issues/439#issuecomment-1509319017 RE: YouTube - blueribb - 2024-10-30 Thanks MoojMidge - Step 10 did the trick. One computer down, three to go. Is there a trick to cut and pasting the keys. I'm using Libreelec and do have a keyboard to connect if necessary. |
