RE: Testflight access to beta version - amasephy - 2024-12-05 One more minor iPad bug. If you have the sort by action sheet displayed and you rotate the screen the point of origin is screwed up. Same problem exists if you display action sheet by long pressing an item in the now playing playlist. Here it makes sense to just dismiss the action sheet because it could reference an item that is now out of view. I checked the other obvious action sheets and the others seemed fine. RE: Testflight access to beta version - Buschel - 2024-12-05 Thanks, will look into this tomorrow. RE: Testflight access to beta version - amasephy - 2024-12-06 One more action sheet bug. We have seen this type of bug before where the action sheet itself grows very large. In movies library in movie collections view (grid or list view). Display the action sheet for a media item near the bottom of the screen. Now rotate to landscape. The action sheet will be abnormal. RE: Testflight access to beta version - Buschel - 2024-12-06 I fixed the origin of the sort-by action sheet when rotating. While testing I also found some other glitches around action sheets (e.g. iPad in portrait mode entering Music > Artist > Albums, then long press on an album to bring up action sheet, then rotate) and fixed this as well. Some of the prior refactoring now allows to simplify the logic even further. But this rework I will keep out of the upcoming release. RE: Testflight access to beta version - amasephy - 2024-12-13 As promised, now that iOS 18.2 is out I have updated my phone. I havenβt see any issues with the app so far. ππ» I did see that the app icon on the Home Screen is exactly as you showed earlier. Strange that on iPad it darks is gracefully. Interestingly the exact opposite is true for the app icon within the iOS settings app. There the icon is darkened but on iPad the icon isnβt darkened there. RE: Testflight access to beta version - Buschel - 2024-12-13 iOS is full of surprises. π RE: Testflight access to beta version - amasephy - 2024-12-14 Slightly off topic but anecdotally iOS 18.x has been pretty bad so far. Buggiest release in years. I just encountered so many bugs like being unable to unlock the phone, being unable to power off, then being unable to power on. Massive control center glitches and many other small glitches. Keyboard covers imessage. I advise not to upgrade yet. Reddit is filled with complaints identical to my experiences. ππ»ππ»ππ» Shame on Apple. RE: Testflight access to beta version - gavinstevenson - 2024-12-20 I second with my thumbs up on cutting a new release. No major issues that I've found so far that haven't already otherwise been addressed/acknowledged. I didn't realize it's been nearly 6 months since the last one... I say go for it! RE: Testflight access to beta version - amasephy - 2024-12-21 Figures right. π Problem only manifests if you modify the widget position on the control center or widget screen to the far left of Home Screen. Without restarting the phone the positioning/visibility gets glitchy. Otherwise it seems alright. Small things can be aggravating though. π RE: Testflight access to beta version - Buschel - 2024-12-21 1.16 build 4896 Release Notes Release candidate for 1.16. Fixes few more issues reported or found during testing. Adds improvement for resuming playback, including support to resume PVR recordings. RE: Testflight access to beta version - UlfSchmidt - 2024-12-21 (2024-12-21, 20:34)Buschel Wrote: 1.16 build 4896 Looks good for me (tested on iPad with iOS 17 only). Only two minor observations, but since both arenβt new (if I remember it correctly) these should not stop you from releasing:
Good to see that Resume is finally working properly! Thanks for your fantastic work @Buschel ! RE: Testflight access to beta version - Buschel - 2024-12-22 (2024-12-21, 21:20)UlfSchmidt Wrote:1. Not a regression. No reason to hold back the release. 2. Can only happen, if Kodi API shares an empty string as aspect ratio. What does the Kodi UI show? RE: Testflight access to beta version - UlfSchmidt - 2024-12-22 (2024-12-22, 10:11)Buschel Wrote: β¦ I think the Kodi UI shows the aspect ratio as stored in its movie database (from .nfo files or whatever), but during playback the actual aspect ratio of the video file itself is taken. Do you know whether there are any means to get this aspect ratio displayed in Kodi UI? RE: Testflight access to beta version - Buschel - 2024-12-22 The App currently requests the data for the NowPlaying overlay via "XBMC.GetInfoLabels", which equals what would be shown during playback. With the default skin this info is displayed on the bottom right when showing the info ("i" on the remote app) while playback. |
