While testing the A/V codec data changes I found some things which can be improved. This will resolve some gltiches and potentially wrong displayed A/V codec data.
For a later release I started to look into showing picture / EXIF data in the overlay while running a slideshow: https://abload.de/img/bildschirmfoto2023-02ibecz.png.

Hi Buschel,
Any chance you can enable the sweet list view type that is currently only available for movies after tapping the “Added Movies” button? My vision would be to add it as a third view type instead of having just plain list and grids for movies and even TV shows?

Not really simple. This mode (which also is present for Videos) doesn't really look nice when enabling it for other areas. Ii is currently implemented as either normal grid or "sweet" grid. Adding a third option will be (most likely a lot) more work. I need to play around with this before I can take a call.

I can see why it wouldn’t look good for music but having it for even just movies in general would be nice.

Release Notes
This new TestFlight build has been sent for review to AppStore as preparation towards the 1.12.1 bugfix release. It will show up on TF soon.
The changes are related to the recent reported issues with connection status icons on iPhone, loss of TCP connection when entering iOS App Switcher or Notification Center and around the A/V codec info of the NowPlaying overlay. Details can be found above in the link to the Release Notes.

All issues I reported seem to be resolved with this TF release!
One incident I had was I had to switch the IP address of my Xbox Kodi server and when I did that in the app all my custom buttons were wiped out. A little annoying and not something I really want to test as it’s a pain in the neck to re-add them all.

Thanks for verifying.
I currently cannot check in the sources, but the custom buttons will most likely be connected to a unique ID which is derived from server name and IP. If you change the IP, this connection is gone. This avoid problems with multiple servers of the same name.

Was no longer informed by the forum about new posts, so I missed the last updates. But I can tell you that I really like the current implementation, which works flawlessly for me. @Buschel, I appreciate your idea to show photo details from EXIF data on the Now Playing screen.

Hi Buschel,
I finally am able to point something out about a topic we talked about awhile back.
An issue with the NowPlaying playlist screen is that when you use the remote to start playback on the Kodi server the playlist entry has mostly missing info, no image or title but does have duration.
At the time you said it wasn’t possible to have the information displayed unless you use the app to initiate playback directly - using the movie section and playing a movie back for example. Not using the remote pane.
However I don’t know if that is necessarily true. This problem only manifests during movie playback. TV shows have no problem listing their title and even their episode screenshot in the now playing playlist screen by imitating playback the same exact way that fails with movies - ie: using the remote pane.

Could be the case. The error for movies was told to lie within the playback engine of Kodi. So this might behave different for different items. I don‘t think this is anything we see fixed quick or at all.

@UlfSchmidt: Yes, this means "1.37:1". I just did not change this against the former image-based solution which also showed "1.37". This can be easily changed, just needs some checks for the font size. It should not overlap with the arrows.
