How to make Kodi Interface SSL Compliant - DarkKnight939 - 2021-03-17

Hi, I'm back. I would like to know that how can I using the default chorus 2 web interface make the interface https 🔐 instead of http.I tried using certbot but my Website is not properly configured in IIS. Could some one tell me a step by step explanation about it?

Thank you 😊

enable SSL support in kodi settings. Take care to read the help text below that tells you where to place your certificate

How can I add said web interface to Internet Information Services (IIS) or is not necessary. Also Which help text should I read below?? You have given me links to nightly PPA and one about debug log
Thanks

I would also like to know one other thing. The Web interface we use doesn't have a particular web address, it's just an ip address. Is there a way I can convert it into . Com website. This will solve most of my problems because IIS requires a website with. Com and does not accept ip address

Thanks

When you enable SSL in Kodi's settings (settings->Services->Control->Enable SSL) there will be some text at the bottom of the screen that tells you where you need to put the certificate and key.

Ah sorry, I overlooked that you use windows. The webserver does not support SSL on windows. It's the only platform where that is missing.
And before you ask: Nobody had sufficient interest to get gnutls built on windows.

You can always setup a reverse proxy that terminates SSL.
