Thanks for your help RE: Loading local subs problem - Marsupilami101 - 2021-03-30 is there anybody in here ? RE: Loading local subs problem - Filmbuff - 2021-03-31 I use Opensubtitles, and once set up it has worked perfectly. I also name my subtitles as follows, folder name = "Movie Name", in that folder you have, movie file = "Movie Name", and subtitle name = "Movie Name".language.srt. Never had any issues with subtitles when doing it this way. RE: Loading local subs problem - Marsupilami101 - 2021-04-02 So I checked opensubtitles setings ok but kodi f..er can't download them I retried tagging like this movie name.mkv, movie name.French.srt folder name = movie name : i does not work I tried custom subs directory : kodi can't see .srt files tagged as said above (movie name.French.srt) = it failed So if someone couldgive a hand it will be very appreciated ;-) RE: Loading local subs problem - Klojum - 2021-04-02 Kodi needs to have write access to your video folder by default in order to create the .srt files. If that is a network location, double-check its access privileges. If your media files are on a local attached drive, then Android is probably being a nuisance. Do you have a single folder assigned for subtitle files? I miss something i think Loading local subs problem - Klojum - 2021-04-04 To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log. The instructions are here... debug log (wiki) If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied... 1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging, 2.Restart Kodi 3.Replicate the problem. 4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here. If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki) In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log. Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Use the Kodi Paste Site. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum RE: Loading local subs problem - Marsupilami101 - 2021-04-04 (2021-04-04, 20:50)Klojum Wrote: To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log. https://paste.kodi.tv/xeyaqaruwa here it is ;-) Thanks for your concern RE: Loading local subs problem - Klojum - 2021-04-04 I cannot find any action of you downloading a subtitle for a video in your log file. Also restart Kodi when enabling debugging so that debugging start from the beginning. I have no experience with such a combination. I could imagine that some UPnP and/or Android locations are read-only? Someone else or one of the devs will have to dive into this challenge.
