XBMC weird scaling issue - drivesoslow - 2008-08-21 I just compiled xbmc fro SVN and I get a weird "scaling issue". The main image only takes up 1/4 of the xbmc windows. Any ideas? ![]() http://img73.imageshack.us/my.php?image=xbmctn3.jpg - althekiller - 2008-08-21 http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=34655 - drivesoslow - 2008-08-21 Fedora 9 x86_64 Kernel 2.6.25.11-97 built via ./configure, make, make install SVN revision 15062 Default skin - tslayer - 2008-08-21 You must have missed the debug log part eh? - drivesoslow - 2008-08-21 LOG: http://pastebin.com/m6d23fcfe Yes, and then I couldn't find a way to edit my previous post ![]() - drivesoslow - 2008-08-21 This is all that gets dump to the console: Code: $ xbmc - melvin - 2008-08-21 I see this issue as well when I try to install the SVN PPA version of XBMC. When I use the stable PPA version I then see the Zoomed in effect mentioned in this tread, http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=36053. I was about to try an complie XBMC from the SVN myself but I guess I may hold off on that since it seems like I may just run into the same scaling issue I see in the SVN PPA release. The Log below is from the Stable PPA version. Later tonight I can try to load the SVN PPA version back up and update my post with the log for that as well. Ubuntu Hardy up to date as of 8-21-08 Linux 2.6.24-19-generic x86_64 Install Method Stable PPA E8500 - Abit I-N73HD NVIDIA Drivers from Envy: 173.14.12 XBMC SVN-14921 # Taken from xbmc.log since I can't see it on the screen. http://pastebin.com/m288b7062 - drivesoslow - 2008-08-21 Just checked out the SVN again (r15082) and now after a 'make clean' and recompile when I run it I get 100% CPU usage and nothing comes up. I am on a Intel video chipset. - drivesoslow - 2008-08-21 New log http://pastebin.com/m612ac8ed - althekiller - 2008-08-22 Do you pass any options to configure? If not I can only think of one very bad (from a dev point of view) reason for the behavior. - drivesoslow - 2008-08-22 the only option I passed was --prefix , but I have compiled it with and without this option - drivesoslow - 2008-08-22 only "--prefix=/usr", but I have compiled it without that option too - drivesoslow - 2008-08-22 I should clarify what the symptoms are. A xbmc window does pop up but stays black and throttles my CPU to 100%. It seems to grab my keyboard and mouse because nothing responds. The only way to break free is to ssh from another computer and kill the process. - drivesoslow - 2008-08-22 This is not a regression, I rolled back to 14500 and I had the same issue. - malloc - 2008-08-22 post guisettings.xml |
