@DaveBlake  fully tested with the alpha build for MacOS: before installing it I deleted the v82 DB in the mysql server and then had the new kodi build migrate the music DB again; result: I can confirm that the migration, re-scanning and the top-100 album view is now working flawlessly.

Moreover, I have one Kodi 19.0 client that is sharing the same mysql server I used for this test and after the re-migration done with 20.0alpha, now the top-100 album list works perfectly in the older 19.0 client as well! further validating the new server-side function code.

Thanks Dave once again!! Looking forward to have this fix backported to Kodi 19.1 if possible. My main Kodi music server runs on a raspberry 3b / OSMC, they are still running Kodi 18.x, but I noticed they just released the first test Matrix version and it's based on the Kodi 19.1 branch so perfect timing Smile

Thanks for feedback @htpcero , and yes aim is to backport to v19.1
