Hello Dan
Thank you.
I had to install EMM again and the scraper-settings did appear.
Regards

There's a Log folder in the EMM installation folder.
I tried importing a TinyMediaManager nfo and found this in the log:
Quote:2023-01-07 14:43:14.6279,EmberAPI.NFO,EmberAPI.NFO.LoadFromNFO_TVShow,18,ERROR,LoadFromNFO_TVShow,"EXCEPTION OCCURRED:System.InvalidOperationException: There is an error in XML document (16, 4). ---> System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.
I have no idea of how to fix this, it might be easier to just rescrape in Ember.

There was a discussion about this between Dan and I in another thread; TMM writes user ratings as a float or closed XML tag, whereas that field should be an integer per the KODI nfo specifications.  Think I posted a script or a batch file to find and correct the issue in that thread.  I'm pressed for time ATM or I'd find and link it - am about to leave to visit a family member in hospital.

The fix is to rewrite both
<userrating />
and
<userrating>0.0</userrating>
type entries, to
<userrating>0</userrating>
in every nfo file that TMM writes, before letting EMM touch it.

The issue is that if the nfo contains any localized data, (such as watched state, resume points, etc.) those entries are gone when EMM recreates the nfo.

Hi Dan,

Thank you for all you do for us!  I was having the same issue as others getting IMDB to scrape movies without manual input.  Came here and saw the update fix available.  (download link is sketchy getting it to actually download)

Reading the notes it states to backup the folder and do a overwrite/replace with all files.  My question is does this effect any marked/custom marked data that I currently have in my database?  I use the different colored markings in EMM for videos that still need work, or are duplicates that I want, videos that I have already checked/updated, etc.   I see it doesn't mention any database changes, but I would be at a loss if this was affected after applying this patch.

Have a great rest of your day!
Mychale

Most welcome!

But, it seems I misremembered just what code I posted; the posted code did NOT correct any issues, it just created a basic nfo file.

I'm trying to post a block of php code that sanitizes and rewrites a nfo file, but I keep getting a website security block; trying to work around that and will update when I figure out why.

In meantime, It's posted here

To use the routine, just pass it the path to an nfo file, but you will need to incorporate it into a php script first.  And have php installed.

No, these two fixes just fix the imdb and videobuster scrapers. I just added an additional hint on the first post to get these files working because Windows added some new "security" features I havn't known as I posted the links.

RE: Ember Media Manager 1.11.x - Download & Discussion Thread - Mychale - 2023-01-11

Ok, so I followed the instructions, checked the ALLOW box for the zip file, backed up the IMDB module folder, and replaced the files.  I loaded EMM and scanned in some new movies.  Now when I scrape movies, I keep getting an exception error.  Replacing the "new" files with the backup, and the error goes away.  I checked all the replaced file properties and they do not show the 'ALLOW" button like the Zip file did, so I am guessing they are enabled, but I keep getting the Exception error message using them.  Clicking quit crashes EMM, anything else just causes a lock up of the program. Any Ideas where I go now?

Ok, than I have to create a new installer with the updated files. Not shure if I've time today but I will try to release it as soon as possible.

RE: Ember Media Manager 1.11.x - Download & Discussion Thread - t0urista - 2023-01-15

User rating tag ($P) remains empty while used to rename file name in EMM 11.1.x

I used to include the tag $P (user rating) when I rename file names, however in 11.1.x this remains blank

any idea on hot to fix/mitigate this ?

Hi Dan,
  I seem to remember that there was an option to be able to see the results returned from multiple scrapers (multiple tabs if I remember correctly), where you could mix and match the data you wanted populated into the movie.  I don't seem to be able to find the option.  Does it still exist?  How can I turn this on?

Thanks

It's no longer available because it was all hard coded to the main data scrapers and not all (new) data fields has been supported. I've to rewrite it to a dynamic solutions that's capable to handle all enabled scraper. It's not on my (still) long list for the next release, but maybe for one after.

Do you use trailer download? YouTube and Apple limits the download to a value that makes it currently is unusable und very long to download. All trailer scrapers exept Videobuster.de use trailers from YouTube or Apple.
Same with the YouTube theme downloader. I still havn't found a solution to fix this problem.

Many apps now use youtube-dl or yt-dlp to circumvent this issue. A popular program to do that is for example mpc-hc (https://github.com/clsid2/mpc-hc/releases/)

Here is the latest commit to integrate yt-dlp (C++) (https://github.com/clsid2/mpc-hc/commit/60297a4afc945c5805397ef1e838527d7db15bab)

Maybe this is worth a shot? (.NET wrapper) https://github.com/Bluegrams/YoutubeDLSharp

RE: Ember Media Manager 1.11.x - Download & Discussion Thread - Mychale - 2023-01-24

I have tried several times to add the new IMDB update to my Ember install modules folder, but each time I keep getting the following error when scraping some new movie.  It's not all movies, just a select few.  Play Dead (2022) and Snow Falls (2023) are the latest ones that throw this error.  Not sure if that helps.  I usually scan for new movies in my temp folder and select the lot, right click > Re-Scrape selected movies > Ask > All Items.  When EMM encountered these two movies from the list of about 10 movies, the error is thrown and EMM crashes, then closes.

Any update on that new installation package you were talking about back on 1/11 ?   Is there any other data or logs I can submit to possibly help with this issue?  I would really like to get EMM working again, so anything else I can provide I will.  Thanks for all the help Dan.

Here is a copy of the error message:

Just a bit more info, it seems that those movies are not getting picked up in the search and EMM usually would open a window and allow me to enter the IMDB ID at the bottom and move along.  With the new files, it seems to just crash.  Moving back to the old files and I was able to scrape them individually, and noticed this.  Maybe the new files are running into an issue with not finding it on IMDB and instead of popping up the window to allow me to enter the ID#, it is now just crashing EMM?  Just a thought I had after working with this set.

Updating certain fields in old .nfo files?

I have a huge amount of .nfo files that have been created a very long time ago and thus are now outdated when it comes so some of the fields they contain.

eg:
Old
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<tvshow xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
  <title>Dr.Huh</title>
  <id>293875</id>
  <language>jp-JP</language>
  <genre>Huh</genre>
  <genre>Japanese</genre>
  <premiered>15/04/2015</premiered>

New
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<tvshow xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
  <id type="tvdb">376134</id>
  <uniqueid type="tvdb" default="true">376134</uniqueid>
  <uniqueid type="imdb" default="false">tt13588566</uniqueid>

  <title>Huh??</title>
  <language>ja-JP</language>
  <boxeeTvDb>-1</boxeeTvDb>
  <ratings />
  <genre>Japanese</genre>
  <genre>Huh</genre>
  <genre>??</genre>
  <premiered>2020-01-19</premiered>

For a variety of reasons I need to rescrape it to my kodi/mysql which will loose my watched status but am also thinking I need to future proof the older nfo files, namely to the <id type and <uniqueid type fields.  Problem I face though if I just rescan the whole nfo I will loose some bespoke settings like title and genres being in English whereas over time I've changed these manually to Japanese.

Is it possible to just rescape/edit with notepad++ the elements I have highlighted in Bold?  Or any other wizardry magic that may let me do this?  Am starting here as I hope ember can do this?  If not I'll post in another sections.

Thanks and cheers
