7200RPM or 5400RPM for movie storage drive? - Bluevyper - 2021-08-01

Wondering if the RPM's make a difference whether you play 4k, 1080, Atmos etc. Or will 5400 do for everything and why?

5400 RPM drives have more than enough throughput for data storage playback.  I use 31 of them.  Quieter, cooler, last longer, easier on the power grid, etc.  7200 RPM drives transfer faster.

What size drives do you use out of curiosity? I was thinking about getting an 8TB
