DVD Order problem - dgas - 2021-09-14

I've successfully used DVD Order in the past, but I'm having trouble getting it to work with the show The Life & Times of Tim (season 1).  I named them with S##E## as shown on TVDB.  I went into the Files view, used Change Content on the folder, and switched on DVD Order in the TVDB settings.  Then I tried all kinds of combinations of 'Refresh' and 'Remove from library' followed by a scan, on the folder and series and individual files.  I even ended up renaming the files (a part which the scanner shouldn't care about).  It just keeps coming up with the Aired Order titles no matter what I do.  When I did this about a week ago with Firefly, I had no issues at all.  Can anyone see anything wrong with the TVDB entries, or give any other pointers?

The DVD Order for that show is incomplete. So is the Aired Order. You will note all the "Unassigned Episodes" listed.

The only complete order there is Absolute Order.

You will need to assign those unassigned episodes for it to work correctly.

Help me to understand.  The Aired Order has 10 minute episodes (note, the there will be pairs with the same air date).  The DVD Order has 20 minute episodes.  So, when I look at the Aired Order, all of the 20 minute episodes are listed under Unassigned.  When I look at the DVD Order, all of the 10 minute episodes are listed under Unassigned.  The 10 minute episodes that are Unassigned in the DVD Order are already represented, and do not appear on the DVDs as 10 minute episodes.  I'm not sure how to assign them.

I am not familiar with that show, so not aware of the differences. But now that you have explained it, the problem is that DVD Order has been created with TVDB's new Flexible Order system which is not yet available for scraping. It will be released with TVDB's new v4 API in the next few weeks. (hopefully, though that date keeps shifting).

I see, thanks.  How does one tell if it a show was created with the Flexible Order system?

They are episodes that do not exist in Aired Order which fits your explanation above.

Also check the episode id in the address bar and compare them between aired order episodes and dvd episodes. If the numbering is thousands apart, then its flexible order, if the numbering is the same then its the same episodes re-used.
