connecting monitor to tv - general79 - 2021-12-14 i have a 7 inch IPS Display Portable Touchscreen Computer (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YZ6S2PP?psc...ct_details ) and have the Pi 4 connected to it with Kodi installed on the SD card. How can i connect the 7" Touch Screen Monitor to my TV to set Kodi up on the 7" Touch Screen Monitor using the TV for a better viewing. RE: connecting monitor to tv - Klojum - 2021-12-14 @general79 There are a couple of problems/limitations with your setup: - Kodi only supports "clone mode" when doing a dual/multi monitor setup. That means all connected display devices require the same display resolution. And thus you cannot use a small screen as "remote control" for the bigger TV display, if that is the big plan. - Connecting the 7" display directly to your TV sounds slightly irrational. The Raspberry Pi 4B does have 2 video outputs, but Kodi uses new video drivers that don't support dual monitors just yet, afaik. - Desktop OS's (Raspbian, Ubuntu, etc) use a more common driver model, so they should support both monitors with each their own display resolution. |
