File permission problem on the tier-1 mirrors? - itss0076 - 2022-05-09
Hi - I'm a sysadmin at the University of Oxford, in the UK. We use rsync to pull from rsync://rsync.xbmc.org/euro/. I've noticed that since last week we've been logging some permission errors when our rsync job runs. The following four files are present on the tier-1 mirror site, but don't appear to have public read permission set:
build-deps/sources/libbluray-1.3.1.tar.bz2
build-deps/sources/libgcrypt-1.10.1.tar.bz2
build-deps/sources/libgpg-error-1.45.tar.bz2
build-deps/sources/zlib-1.2.12.tar.xz
Those file are also missing from official public mirrors such as https://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/mirrors.xbmc.org/. If the files were intended to be published then I think something has perhaps gone wrong?

Hi,
Im not one of our server guys, but we became aware of this issue yesterday, and it was predicted by wsnipex that it was a permission issue. He is currently on holidays, so one of our other guys has been thrown into the deep end with our mirror tarball stuff.
Im hoping we'll have it resolved in the next day or so. Thank you for letting us now, it definitely confirmed the theory wsnipex had.

Oh and in the future, please email mirrors@kodi.tv in case of any issues you have as a mirror admin.
