And allowing DTS-HD passthrough gives me an audio unsupported error on my TV (doesn't support DTS).
Can't really test if it's working correctly.

With it plugged in to my receiver, I've been able to passthrough all the audio I've tested including DTS-HD MA, DTS-X, IMAX Enhanced DTS-X, TrueHD, and TrueHD Atmos.

Sorry for being a bit offtopic. But can you tell me where i can find a IMAX Enhanced DTS-X Testfile?

I don't have a player for optical discs. But anyway this is still lossless DTS:X - tho a Variant.
I was actually searching for the lossy one that is used on a few streaming services and soon will be used on Disney+ (or is already on a very few devices with currently one title: Guradians of the Galaxy 3)

Not sure about a test file, but my 4K disc of Zombie Land Double Tap has DTS-X IMAX

Format                                   : DTS XLL X IMAX
Format/Info                            : Digital Theater Systems
Commercial name                   : DTS-HD MA + IMAX Enhanced

Yes i have those DTS:X variants. Based on DTS-HD MA.
But there are also lossy ones those for streaming services.
e
DTS:X and DTS Imax Enhanced is even more confusing than Dolby ATMOS Wink  There you just have difference between lossless TrueHD and lossy EAC3 (at least for consumers)
But for DTS:X you have at least 2 lossless based on DTS-HD and at least one lossy

we'll see - everyone seems to have a claim that you cannot access but then it turns out they are just not using developer methods
Missing storage access permission in Fire OS 8 on 2nd-gen Fire TV Stick 4K & 4K Max is causing issues with Media Player and File Manager apps

That's great to know, can you please kindly provide a picture with DTS X working?

Trying to figure out the difference between these 2 files.  File 1 plays fine with DV and File 2 produces a black screen.  Both seem to be the same profiles and no HDR10+ present.  Both are UHD remuxes.

Using Kodi 20.2 on a Firestick Max First Gen.

Natural Born Killers is a profile 7 FEL title, which always displays a blank screen.
MediaInfo alone won't tell you.

Enable the Dolby Vision compatibility mode.

Thank you all for the info.   So much to learn.

Right now I'm running a mix of hardware using a shared database so its hard run alpha/beta versions.

Hopefully on Prime Day I can pick up a bunch of the new Firestick Max's (now that they support HD audio pass-through) and run the alpha build on everything.

No one has tested that yet -> careful here. Might work or not or work with issues.
