Excuse my ignorance but I've put a v21 nightly on my Cube Gen 3 specifically to get DV support and HD-Audio passthrough. It's handled everything DV I've thrown at it without issue so far, so am confused as to whether I need this build instead or not?

So I have to turn off Dolby Vision and go only HDR10.

Hello. the last version from 7.16. I have a problem playing DV profile 8 on FireTV stick Max. Dolby Vision logo and black screen. The previous version plays OK.

Please provide a log file. It works the same for my sample files.
Nothing has changed unless your files have invalid container metadata.

It would be awesome if this would be released officially.
Currently using the same conversion in Coreelec on amlogic platform(Homatics 4k Plus), would be awesome if conversion could be done in official Kodi on AndroidTV aswell.
I guess more and more Amlogic boxes with DV support will hit the market.

With the new version the problems are back again!!...
Yesterday I had some time to test make some film mkv footage with both metadata, DoVi and HDR10+. I have encountered with Kodi playback problems and system crashes with Firestick 4k Max, and I managed to understand that the problem is the presence of HDR10+ dynamic metadata.
The films are reproduced correctly and without problems by removing only the HDR10+ metadata (Dovi Tool by Remover) while the Dolby Vision does not give any kind of problem.
From this I conclude that Kodi cannot distinguish HDR10 from HDR10+... and when playing on a screen/tv that does not support hdr10+, this causes the system to crash. While the DoVi is recognized and therefore in case of lack of hardware support it is excluded.
In fact, in the movie library going to see the film information, Kodi can distinguish Dolby Vision, HDR10 but not HDR10+.
Is it possible to solve this problem? what can i do to help?

HDR10+ is ignored correctly on my side for most files.
