Help with Banners - apachehaovk - 2023-06-17 Hey all! So I have tons of shows and use a skin set to banners for easy readability. Problem is some shows cant download a banner cause,,,, well, the TVDB doesnt have banner artwork for it. No biggie. I figured I could just download an image (doesnt have to be the correct banner size, I literally don't care as long as it says the show name) and add it. Problem is when I delete the source image, it completely blanks out the banners on some while keeping others? It seems it caches some images into the user Kodi folder (which I want as I only want one folder to back up) and others not. Is there a way to just manually add a bunch of banners and force kodi to cache the images to its Kodi folder so I can delete the images I downloaded? Thanks! RE: Help with Banners - apachehaovk - 2023-06-19 Sorry for the bump but has anyone dealt with this before? ok it seems its just not caching the files for some reason. Some do and some done. Sometimes i can do it a few times and it will stick. Is there a way to force a cache of the image so I can delete the sources? RE: Help with Banners - izprtxqkft - 2023-06-19 for banners - https://kodi.wiki/view/Artwork_types#banner which are used in various places including tv shows - https://kodi.wiki/view/TV-Show_artwork best place for artwork is fanart.tv - https://fanart.tv/series/79349/dexter/?section=banner RE: Help with Banners - Karellen - 2023-06-19 If you use local artwork, the original artwork needs to remain in place, even after it is cached. If you delete it, then the cached image is deleted also. RE: Help with Banners - apachehaovk - 2023-06-20 Got it. Whats interesting, is a I have few working now after multiple reboots and the source images deleted. Still using the cached files. Odd. |
