2 independent screens - Mackan2 - 2008-12-03 I have a working XBMC setup in my living room, using digital sound output and vga video output from the motherboard. Now I want to add another screen for my bedroom. Using a HDMI-monitor and analog audio, I think this should be possible. I see two major problems with this setup. The screens have different resolution and I don't want sound in the living room while watching in the bedroom and vice versa. Is it possible to run 2 separate instances of XBMC with different settings? One on each screen, fully independent? I had another idea... If i could start 2 separate x servers as 2 different users, and make one use HDMI+analog audio and the other VGA+digital audio. Buuut, I have my doubts that it is possible to use the video hardware from the 2 servers simultaneously... Anyone tried anything similar before? Any input is highly appreciated. |
