"Add source" makes password protection pointless - Flagg6161 - 2008-12-14
I have pictures and movies on my xbox hard drive that I don't want anyone else to see. So I was happy when XBMC included the ability to password protect certain sources. With the new build, there's lots of new stuff that I love but anyone can just choose "Add source" and see all partitions. Is there a way to remove the "add source" link?

Nevermind. Found it. Disable add source in GUIsettings.xml

What's wrong with the option in settings > appearance? There's no reason to touch guisettings.xml manually.

Just password protect settings. Then when someone tries to add a source they'll have to know the password.
