Kilack Wrote:Hi Fekker,

Thanks for the latest version, there is just one tiny problem with this version. I have mentioned it before but here it is again Smile

Some of my filenames are like this
Americas.Got.Talent.S04E07.HDTV.XviD-2HD.avi

The old versions of MIP loaded that just fine but the new versions seem to think the -2hd means a multipart episode or something so everything gets all mixed up..

The .nfo file ends up with this in it
<season>4</season>
<episode>7:2</episode>

and xbmc ends up not listing some episodes etc because of this.
Is there anyway I can make mip go back to the old behaviour?

Appreciate all your hard work.

cheers

try this one
http://www.mediainfoplus.com/mipupdate/downloads/mip_testbuild_2931.zip
there was one area that wasn't filtering out those items.

Hi Fekker,

Cleaned out the nfo's.
Ran it again but unfortuantely still same problem

Americas.Got.Talent.S04E07.HDTV.XviD-2HD.avi
becomes..

<title>Audition Show #7 New York(3)</title>
<season>4</season>
<episode>7:2</episode>
<rating />
<plot>Auditions are now being held in New York City. Will the judges like what they see? </plot>

Hi Fekker,

Ok seems another group is causing it problems also ...

Burn.Notice.S02E16.HDTV.XviD-0TV.[VTV].avi

0TV being a popular tv release group..

mip writes this out in the .nfo

<season>2</season>
<episode>16:0</episode>

which seems to cause problems as it lists episode 16 as missing..

Is there a way to deal with these properly? can you possibly ignore -number if it doesn't come immediately after the season and episode?
eg if you see this then process it
so2e16-18 but if you see this ignore it
s02e16-blahblah-18woo.avi

I am worrying there are other groups out there like 0tv and 2hd also that I havent picked up on yet. Or should i just be renaming them? but that makes finding subs etc harder.. unless i rename 2hd to twohd or something Smile
know a mass renamer that is good?

One other thing I've noticed is that when I do have a multipart episode eg... blahblah-s01e11-12

This gets listed under season 1 as
blahblah e11:12 epname1
blahblah e11:12 epname2

I assume that is correct but then under the episodes missing below in red writing
it lists episode 11 and episode 12 as being missing..

Just a cosmetic thing?

is there any instructions? quick howto? youtube video? I've spent 2 hours with this program and I dont know anymore about it then when I started. I downloaded the newest version but I forgot the patch.. so maybe after 2 more hours I'll find some success with it. Does any of the beta testers hang out in any IRC channel?

p.s. forgive my fustration.

Hi Fekker,

Yep me again, and having problems with the episode nfo's still..

Using a new install of xbmc and the latest patch you gave me of mip.
This file
Burn Notice - s01e11-12 Dead Drop - Loose Ends

Now I believe that is a valid file name, it has always worked in the past.

mip writes this in the nfo
<title>Dead Drop (1)</title>
<season>1</season>
<episode>11:12</episode>

further down in the nfo
<title>Loose Ends (2)</title>
<season>1</season>
<episode>11:12</episode>

the problem is that xbmc does load episode 12 at all, it just doesn't list it.

This is using a svn build of xbmc that is only a few days old.
Am I doing something wrong?

It seems to me that since mip started using this format of number:number things have gone funny in xbmc
the earlier versions used to write on the two episodes in the nfo still but just list the episode info as <episode>11</episode> and then <episode>12</episode> .

What exactly is the colon supposed to do? and is this a bug iwth mip or xbmc that things aren't working?

cheers

it's not suppose to write the mutli numbers for episode number, so it's a bug.

I'll double check the source for poster xml reads (as well as multi-part episode info as noted a few posts ago).

So I installed MIP but I can´t get it to start, it crashes after about 30sec with the "loading screen".

I´m using Vista x64, tried to update MIP, same problem.
Tried to run it as administrator, same problem.

Anyone?

How can I change the network so it doesn't get over written every time I start MIP? I currently have MIP configured so it doesn't overwrite the .NFO files but I'm guessing that's only for the episodes and not the tvshow.nfo file.
Image

How can I get rid of the lines and back slash around the director and credits without editing each file one at a time?

Vista x64 and mip update

download and save this file
http://www.mediainfoplus.com/mipupdate/setup.exe

create a folder
c:\program files\mipupdate

change permissions on that folder, giving your user account full control
(right click, permissions, set permissions, edit.. click on user name, click full control.. ok and save as prompted)

run the setup.exe file that you downloaded
when mipupdate starts, you need to change the path that it's look for mip in to the default (or whatever you put it in) ... C:\Program Files (x86)\mediainfoplus

tested under vista 64 bit sp1

you can then install any of the test builds as needed.. i'll see about reworking the auto-updater to fix this issue when i get the time.. i've also made note of the reported issues so i can look into those

for the tv show and the | in the data, added to fix list

for the tv show .nfo file overwrite, there is a setting for that, under the tv show section in the tv show tab.. if it's not working with that deselected, please report back and i'll look into it.
