Aeon & Movie Trailers - Arkon11 - 2009-03-26 Hi, I was wondering how Aeon handles trailers (i.e. is it easy to view a trailer from the movie library). I'm planning on downloading all the trailers for my movies off youtube, but before hand I just want to make sure that this is supported in Aeon. thanks alot - fanaticffwd - 2009-03-26 My 2 cents from a quality perspective before downloading from youtube I used these 2 sites to download my trailers from: http://www.hd-trailers.net/ http://www.movie-list.com/ If I couldn't find them there then I used youtube. - Genetikal - 2009-03-26 fanaticffwd Wrote:My 2 cents from a quality perspective thanks for these - mason - 2009-03-26 nice sites thanks ... anyone have a recommendation for a tool or something to download the streaming content? - jarod71 - 2009-03-26 u can downlaod and save trailers form apple as well, if you have quicktime pro or through the xbox trailer plugin. - Genetikal - 2009-03-26 @mason right click-save as from hd-trailers - Saelfaer - 2009-03-26 ok but the real question is not answered yet does aeon support these trailers i must say i cannot answer it myself but i assume it can, since the movie info panel shows a "view trailer' button though i have no idea how you would have to add or name these trailer files to the library though. - fanaticffwd - 2009-03-26 I'm sure Aeon will support it as seen from the screens. here's how: "Just add the file to the directory where the movie is and add -trailer before the extension. Like so... Die Hard.avi Die Hard-trailer.flv Piece of cake. You may have to rescan the movie so it finds the trailer though. J_K_M_A_N " - mason - 2009-03-26 they should be picked up while scanning with the following name pattern (i read it in another threat). movie-trailer.avi/mov/whatever and i am aware of the right-click-save-as .. but i thought of sites which are streaming the content trough a flashplayer like youtube or something else ... ps: sorry for the double post .. i forget to click the submit button and fanaticffwd answered in the meantime .. - Arkon11 - 2009-03-26 Wow, thanks alot for the links, and for all the help. I have a fairly vast movie collection, so downloading all these trailers will take time, but it will make my media center more complete. Plus it's something to show off if I ever have guests haha Thanks again. - jtap06 - 2009-03-26 Why wouldn't you just wait a few seconds and let it stream one off of the net? Is it the quality issue or the speed issue? - Arkon11 - 2009-03-27 well, it's a little of both, and some places I take this may not have online access. I plan on making a little HTPC, and if I take it to somewhere with limited net access (some of my friends college dorms have absolutely horrible bandwith limits (like 1.5 gb a month), I'd rather just have it stored locally. - Saelfaer - 2009-03-27 just 1 more question about naming / scraping trailers is it movie-trailer.avi... (eg. movie-trailer.avi) or moviename-trailer.avi... (eg. sin city-trailer.avi) - mason - 2009-03-27 "movie-trailer.avi" filename-trailer.avi isn't picked up ... just tried it myself. and be sure to remove the trailer link from the nfo if you allready scraped them with mip or something else. - zoxzox - 2009-03-28 XBMC source code says you are wrong, so does my xbmc... I won't go too deep, but maybe you misnamed your movie trailer, or hardcoded name "movie-trailer" does not need rescraping, as does foo-trailer.mov... ![]() linuxport svn-18892 here... |
