Is it possible to use auto update for the new alpha just released?

If not, how do I go about installing the alpha and not lose my database or settings?

thanks

Just download the .exe installer from the official page and run it. You shouldn't lose anything. Although, it is always a good idea to backup your userdata folder before you install an alpha/beta/svn release.

Thx for the info..BTW after alpha I take it the dx subdirectory will stop now that it is included in the main strain?

That would be correct.

I tried out the Camelot build but would perhaps like to go back to a prior SVN build. If I uninstall Camelot and install the official Babylon build, and then run xbmcupdate, it tells me that I've already got the latest version. Is there anyway to force it to download the latest version anyway (since I obviously don't have the latest version)?

Also, is there any way to get it to download a specific release # instead of just getting the latest release?

- kricker - 2009-11-06

1. delete the update.xml file in the XBMC folder.
2. no.

hmm, that sounds kind of useful, I might squeeze that into the next release.

It tells me that no updates have been available for two weeks... Am I doing something wrong?

- kricker - 2009-11-17

No, there haven't been any SVN updates during Camelots alpha/beta stage.

Ah okay, cool... Thanks!

Is it possible to make one? I added a ticket in the bug tracker which has been fixed, but it didn't make it into the second alpha.
Also the last build is still OpenGL, right?

Would be nice to have a update Rolleyes

Since Camelot (alpha 1) DirectX has replaced OpenGL for Windows
