dowloaded and installed the vista one and tried to add the aeon, xbmc boot, and xbmc new black and none could be added: "not compatible with this version of bootskin" tried to update but is says there arent any, we gotta buy this?

- SlaveUnit - 2009-05-08

maybe they only work on XP. Dont know really. I dont have a Vista to try with. They look very much like XP boot screens though.

- eriksmith200 - 2009-05-08

nice, thanks!

hm bootskin gives me BSOD at boot, tried both lite blue and old (in win XP). have to boot into safe mode to disable bootskin.

heads up for Win7 users.. - dolgan - 2009-05-08

Not sure how many people are running the Win 7 beta but just a warning - installing bootskin vista on Win 7 will render your system INOPERABLE (you can't even geto to F8 screen). You will need to do full OS reinstall...

After the xbmc boot screen i can see the blue windows "welcome" screen for about 2 sec. Is there a way to disable it?

And what about the blue exit screen when I shut windows down?

To do this,follow these steps:

You can also boot into safe mode, start bootskin and select the default bootskin (i.e. disabling it).

Do some people get it to work properly when using winXP?
