I just bought a Android mini pc (Zealz GK802) with the sole intent of being able to watch NRK contents on-demand on my tv However, it appears to be a problem with so-called b-frames that prevents me from playing above 410kbs in Android (4.0.4). I was therefore excited to see the XMBC for Android and NRK add-in (4.3.0). I use XMBC 12.0-RC2 (compiled 20 Dec 2012) that I launch directly from Android 4.0.4. I am able to play live streaming NRK with some stuttering, but all the other categorier "Aktuelt", "Siste" etc. just locks the program up. The waiting text "working" spins and never gets anywhere. Are there any solution to this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. And finally, apologizes for being a newbie, is there anyway to activate hardware decoding (if this would help the stuttering)?.

I'm having some issues with this addon. Every time I use this addon, it goes more or less like this:
I put a tv programme on, and it works for about 15-20 minutes in beautiful, stutter-free 720p. Then it starts buffering for 5-10 seconds. Then it plays for about 20-30 seconds. Then more buffering. This pattern repeats a couple of times, until it suddenly stops and exits to the main menu.
Here's a log. I started watching at 20:59, then the "fun" begins at 21:19, until the stream suddenly closed (without any input from me) at 21:24.
Every video is more or less the same. Any ideas? I haven't watched an entire programme on, say, my tablet lately, so it could conceivably be my connection - but then why would the problem repeat every time?

It's not my connection, all other addons(youtube, icefilms etc.) works flawless.

Second (third) this. This started sometime in december, and has been this way ever since. 20Mbit line, so should not be related to this. All other plugins works without hickups.
The timing varies; where sometimes it can play for 10-15 minutes before it stops; other times it can play for 1 minute and then stop. I have not been able to play a single episode without this happening lately (several times per. episode).

Isn't it obvious? 1. your connection is not stable, or 2. nrk (akamai) are not delivering the segment in a timely fashion. Xbmc thinks the stream has ended, so it stops (last one's a guess because that log is not a debug log)

My connection has always been stable for everything else (including other kinds of streaming), so I assume it's an NRK/akamai problem. I'll replicate the problem and get a proper debug log soon so we'll find out for sure. (My log level was reset after a reinstall, and I forgot to change it back.)

The whole web-tv system really is quite unstable from time to time imo. But the playback is separate from this addon so there not much to do with playback problems other than report it in the help forums.

I see that nrk1us-f.akamaihd.net (part of stream address) occasionally changing IP address.
I suppose there is that problem

I love the NRK app but after loading the FRODO version of XBMC (using EDEN upto now) the NRK pluging is useless for me.
The video is more "black" than image....going on and off every second. The audio is always stable.
With the EDEN version it was also unstable but not as much as now.
I have read the latest postings here but does not get more wiser.
Is there a cache I need to enable or increase ?
Is this a plugin problem or is it a XBMC problem ?
Hmm....just tried the YouTube plugin and its the same thing there so maybe its a FRODO problem after all ?
It worked fine earlier....

I turned off the DXVA2 acceleration in SETUP/VIDEO and the streamng video is now stable.

I have looked through the thread of my problem without Luck so I take my chances posting.
The plugin has worked very well for me earlier, and it still does for NRK2 and NRK3.
For NRK1 direkte however it does not work now at all. it starts loading for a few Seconds then stop.
Any ideas? I would really like my NRK back

NRK changed the urls again. Happens all the time. Just let me know in this thread. I rarely watch the live streams. Update is on the way.
To everyone, note that this includes some other changes:
1. There wont be updates for eden anymore.
2. Bitrate in live streams are now determined by the bandwidth setting in Settings->System->Internet access so you must set that if you can't handle the default 3500kbit/s (on-demand streams might be moved to use this setting as well in the future)

I Guess this is a known and common issue but I did not find the solution in my forum searches.
