Then I must be dumb or blind cause I can't find this anywhere

- spaljeni - 2009-11-02

There is no "Movies" category like in other skins, is there? Everything is in "Videos"
Right clicking on "Movies" inside the "Videos" screen does not produce the required "Add Sources" link
Right clicking inside the "Movies" screen acts as the "back" button.
"Settings" is not of much help either.

the add source option is only available in filemode,
so bring out the hidden left menu (navigate to the left side of the screen) and switch to filemode.

sure there is and there's plenty much more to choose from:
Settings > Skin Settings > Home window
you can enable/disable every menu item there.

I'm a noob Sad

ronie Wrote:available in filemode

What is filemode? View:List? View:Full List? Library mode disabled? And where do I call this menu? Inside Videos? Inside Videos/Movies?

ronie Wrote:Settings > Skin Settings > Home window
My settings screen looks like this:
Videos / Music / Pictures / Profiles / Weather / Network / System / Appearance

I don't see a "Skin" menu here.
Only "Appearance" but that one does not do it

no worries, we all have to start somewhere.

spaljeni Wrote:What is filemode? View:List? View:Full List? Library mode disabled?

yup, it's library mode disabled.

spaljeni Wrote:And where do I call this menu? Inside Videos? Inside Videos/Movies?

inside videos, use the 'library mode' button on the left menu to switch to filemode.
in filemode you can use the context menu (as described in the wiki) to add a source.

it's the second entry in the FAQ

Yep, that sums it up nicely.

Thanx for the help

Hi,

1. Is there a possibility to create / activate sub menus in Transparency eg. my movies are in the one submenu and my child's movies are in the different one

2. Where can I find the option to hide the watched movies

Thanks
Tomatis

1. You're just wanting a sub-menu on the home screen for this?

2. http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Video_Library Hide Watched

Sub Menu in Transparency - tomatis - 2009-11-06

Yes, I would like to have sub menu under Video button or in the first screen of Video

tomatis Wrote:Yes, I would like to have sub menu under Video button or in the first screen of Video

you could create a menu button for them (howto is on first page of this thread).
submenus however are not available in Transparency!

Is there a way to delay the image changing for multiple image backgrounds? I find they rotate through too quicly.

there's not really an easy way, but it can be done.
you'll have to edit every My***.xml file and modify the <timeperimage>5000</timeperimage> value of each multiimage control

Thanks, may be something to consider adding to a future update in the skin options.

mpaa flaging - jgslima - 2009-11-24

I tried to search in the foruns, it may be there, but anyway, I didn't find it.

I can't make the flaging of mpaa appear. I edited, in the nfo files (followed by a movie information refresh) the <mpaa> element, and tried to put in there the names of the files located in "Transparency!\images\flags\movies\rating" but no success. Also tried to edit the <rating> element, altough I think this element is not for this.

I'm filling the right element?

it's indeed the <mpaa> field in the .nfo files.
they have to contain one of these values:
Rated G
Rated PG
Rated PG-13
Rated R
Rated NC-17

so don't use the name of the image files. ;-)
