A Small Measure of Success! - edbro - 2010-12-21 My upgrade was so messed up I decided to start fresh. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the usb stick to boot. Finally, after trying 3 different sticks, I finally found one that worked. All 3 are good sticks but only one was able to boot properly. So, moral of the story is if you are having problems creating a bootable usb drive, keep trying different ones. - edbro - 2010-12-21 Looking at the first post in this thread it says you need to add nvidia drivers to the iso image. That was for last year's version; is this still necessary with Dharma? Or, can I download them after installing? If I need to add them to the iso, where would I find them? Are they just the standard 32bit Linux drivers for Ion notebook that I see on the Nvidia site? - Warpedflash - 2010-12-21 I am having sound issues as well Revo 3610 is running fine but I cannot get any sound from my 3600 Anyone have any revelations? I have unmuted every setting in audio mixer and tried every combination Of things in the sound settings but still nothing - schneidz - 2010-12-21 edbro Wrote:My upgrade was so messed up I decided to start fresh. No audio though. I'm making progress slowly but surely. - bostoneric - 2010-12-22 edbro Wrote:Yep, I did the install tonight and the drivers seem fine. No audio though. I notice during nvidia upgrade steps you are pulling down a new asound.conf takes a little tinkering. I dont have mine set to 5.1 since I'm only doing HDMI to tv audio, and I also dont have Dolby Digital AC3 enabled. so my Audio output tab looks like. Audio output : HMDI Speaker Config : 2.0 Boost volume : enabled. Dobly Digital AC3 : disabled DTS : enabled. Audio output device : hdmi Psssthrough output device : hdmi - edbro - 2010-12-22 bostoneric Wrote:please check out this thread Thank you, there was something in that update that did it for me. I ran the update without changing any settings and my system now has audio. Even the menu sounds work. - modey - 2010-12-22 Hi, new to this forum, i've just bought a revo 3610 with windows 7 installed on it, how do i put xmbx live onto this? But, like the rest of us, no sound. He needs to run the update commands in the post I pointed him to. |
