Use the GUI skin profiler! Smile

(Before anyone asks, it isn't in SVN yet. Still sitting in trac)

- mkortstiege - 2009-08-05

It's in SVN now Smile

- skunkm0nkee - 2009-08-05

Cool, is there a thread for the new profiler or any examples of what it does and how to use it?

Edit: Ignore that I found the tract ticket details - http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/6952

Impressive stuff as always. Not sure how to feel about yet another incomplete Aeon, but I guess Hitcher and the modding community have that in hand.

I look forward to trying this out, it definitely feels more harmonious, the transitions demo video is just spot on. Gotta get rid of that pink hue though, it reminds me of a morning after pill commercial.

OMG. I fell in love. This is truly amazing. Cant wait to try this.
Thought Aeon was perfect but this would top this.

- Qroach - 2009-08-05

I thought Aeon was the best XBMC skin, but this one tops it and all the others.DJH if you need a beta tester running a single core ION based system to test it on, please let me know Smile

- garvani - 2009-08-06

and alternatively if you need someone with a quadcore and 8gb of ram to beta test, let me know Wink

- natew - 2009-08-06

If at all possible let's not turn this into an 'ooh ooh let me test' thread..

Anyway, I just want to mention that I actually quite liked the home screen with the icons; it was just the icons themselves that bothered me. That said, the current view's not too shabby either. My only real complaint about it is the boxiness/hard edges (which I figured reducing the opacity would help, but I understand it's not so simple).

- FourTwentySmilz - 2009-08-06

Duncan, if you need someone to say they tested it (but totally didn't), I'm your man! LOL

Another great work! Can't wait to see everything you have planned for this one.

I really like the "small footprint" angle on this skin.

And MOD friendly too Smile

Could you consider commenting the code, for a coder noob like me, I always wished the AEON code was commented?

Cheers,

- viker - 2009-08-06

As a xbox user who has been jealous of all the recent Aeon action, I'm verrrry excited for this. It looks so slick and I can't wait to check it out Smile

- B-Fir3 - 2009-08-06

Just want to show my support for the skin and your work, djh_. I'm an avid Aeon user, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Looks excellent so far. Smile

- d4wn - 2009-08-06

I want to try this NOW! xD

Cheers,

Per his web site, this skin will be well commented and MOD friendly. I am excited about this as well. Smile

djh_ Wrote:Icons are by David Lanham, with the odd strategic tweak here and there. I've decided there won't be any custom background support for the homepage; that's Aeon's job, and I'd rather this stayed simple and effective. The backgrounds weren't exactly visible anyway.
