I'm having the same issues on my Samsung Galaxy Spica running Android 1.5, I guess it takes some time for the wifi to connect. What is that 'soon to be released phone' you are talking about mr. mystery? Wink

Popeye Wrote:I'm having some serious problems getting a connection when using the remote. I turn on wireless start the app and get the warning about settings, even tried browsing the net and starting other apps verifying I have a local IP and access. Any other users experiencing this or is it my (soon to be released) android phone causing this?
What logs should I get to sort this out?
Great app btw!

You can't establish any connection at all?
Did you check the settings in XBMC and the settings in the remote app?

Jarny Wrote:I have to ask again because nobody consider my question from 6th December . Do you plan to implement this feature? Without this feature xbmc remote is unusable for filemode users. Nobody would select a new single song everytime after playing a single song.

Jarny
It is already on the issue list and will be implemented in the future. Don't ask for a timeline, we have none Wink

Since he is from sweden I think I can bet quite alot on which one he is on about Wink

@Popeye, Try the httpapi calls in the browser, if it works there and not in the app something is wrong in our code / the phone. Is it the 2.0 or the 1.6 version (if you dare say)?

Well Mr Sherlock, I have already said to much.. Wink I will try some httpapi calls from the browser but I have tried my "pax" app (it uses httpapi) and it works. Also just using the remote commands works (event server I assume )..

Maybe your "pax" app fucked up the response format. The remote is pretty itchy on changed response format.
Close your app. Close the remote (menu -> exit) and start the remote.

Change response format? Dont know what this means. Anyhow, my app was just an example of that the httpapi seems to be working. Still having trouble connecting even when not running "pax"...

You can change the response format of the http api. The remote has bugs where the response format changed and it won't show anything in the lists...

Make an example run of the remote and pastebin the android log.

Killed all tasks and now it works like charm (both apps!)

Ok, I havn't read all threads now, but I have 0.6.3 installed my Nexus One, and I'm running the latest SVN of XBMC on Ubuntu.

When I get a call, the caller is showed on my TV, but the movies does not pause.

Shall I do something? I have both the SMS and call option ON in the app.

Does the Remote control work?

Sorry, the 0.6.3 has a bug that it can't discover if something is playing or not and won't ever pause it.
Either try previous releases or wait for the next release as the fix is already in SVN.

Thanks for the info. I wait.

I just got android working on my sprint touch pro and can't wait to get home and try this out.
Edit - sonofa! apparently android burns through batteries on my phone and the headphone out doesn't work at all! I don't suppose anyone would be willing to "port" this over to .net for my phone in windows mobile? It seems to me that would be faster than getting an entire OS working correctly on a phone. I'd love to try, but I know very little about either .net or java (sigh).

Been loving this app on my Droid but noticed the other day when I created a movie set in XBMC that all movies in that set dropped from the library on my phone.

Should I log this as an enhancement request or am I just missing something?

Thanks again - the app is just incredible.
