- adave - 2010-04-16 Hi guys. Linux n00b here. I used to use Phil65's aeon skin on my windows machine and loved it (using his XBMC executable file). Now I want to start using it on my ubuntu box. What's the best way to get this skin properly installed on my linux machine? I've tried to FTP just the skin over from my windows machine but got an error saying the skin was incompatible. - Petoria - 2010-04-16 Where do I go to delete the recentlyadded.py script? It annoys me when I get to the home screen. Or is there another way besides deleting the script - Maxoo - 2010-04-16 Yep, you can disable it in the settings. - vampire666 - 2010-04-16 AoOs Wrote:Hmm.. Tried under movies? Just press down on every item in the Main Menu it is there somewhere Well, I did find it under "Games" (which of course was disabled since I do not use games ).... - coendeurloo - 2010-04-16 Hi guys, I just made a vid to show off how I configured my Aeon 65 skin, I'm really loving this one, the only downside are the longer loading times between screens...but hey it's worth it http://vimeo.com/10934528 - Petoria - 2010-04-17 Maxoo Wrote:Yep, you can disable it in the settings. I looked for it but couldn't find anything that disables it. Is it the widgets thing? B/c I tried that and error still came up Relatively new to XBMC - buju - 2010-04-17 Hi folks, I'd appreciate it if someone could clarify these the following for me:
Your kind comments/ clarifications are much appreciated. BTW, is there any known issue with XBMC video to audio out of sync/ lag? I am using Zotac GF9300 with E8400 and I surely should not have to have any issues, but I do. But I may have to ask about that in another thread?.. Thanks Anyone? - emal011 - 2010-04-17 butchabay Wrote:Try following Folder structure: Hey it´s works! great Job! tnahks for the Help! - emal011 - 2010-04-17 ekim232 Wrote:I use dvd shrink and create an iso for each episode. It is very quick and easy. Just use the reauthor feature. It will keep the audio and subtitles. You can even compress the episodes if you want to save space. By far the best way I have found yet. For each episode or for each DVD? - ekim232 - 2010-04-17 emal011 Wrote:For each episode or for each DVD? I take each dvd in the season and rip off each episode into a single iso file. I don't like have one iso represent 3 or four episodes. - Maxoo - 2010-04-17 Petoria Wrote:I looked for it but couldn't find anything that disables it. Is it the widgets thing? XBMC's version ? - Petoria - 2010-04-17 im using build 28266, the latest one from the nightly builds before they stopped doing the nightly builds. Which build should i upgrade to? - Maxoo - 2010-04-18 That's good, weird you get an error. Tried a clean install ? - hermy65 - 2010-04-18 Im using the multiwall view for my movies, is there some way for me to show the trailers for my movies in full screen rather than the small box in the middle? - adave - 2010-04-18 Just got the skin up and running and it looks great on my ubuntu box. Can anyone tell me where the splash.png is located? I want to put up a custom splash page. Thanks. Solved. The splash page is located in the usr/share/xbmc/media directory on ubuntu |
