yes my computer is amazingly fast. I only ask because between 720p and 1080p there isnt that much of a difference other then like double the file size.

Then your TV is too small
Really though, the total size difference is only gonna be a few hundred MB max for all of those, so it doesn't bother me. In the grand scheme of things, it's not that much space.

I understand where you are coming from.
My computer (HTPC) is the shiz. My TV (you were right) is old. Hitachi rear projection.
Ive been wanting a LED/LCD tv, but they come out with a new tv every day so Im holding out for now.
What program do you recommend for converting from .vob to .avi without losing quality? You talked me into getting the True HD ones

I prefer x264 to XviD (avi) and I use Handbrake when I want to be lazy and MeGUI and Avisynth when I want to do a really good job. Let me know if you actually get the TrueHD audio to play to your receiver, I think my HTPC can only send regular DTS and AC3 over HDMI.

MPAA Rating Screens - v0lrath - 2009-12-26
Been working on some MPAA ratings screens. I know the format for each rating is slightly different with capitalization and such, but I just copied exactly what I found here and keep each one the same width. The font is also not exactly the same as the real one used, but it's close. The letters for G, PG, etc should be exactly as the real ones are.

Comments, suggestions? Should I change 'MOVIE' to 'FILM' and/or make it smaller or not? That's the only thing I see that might need changed.

Hi - I am running this on camelot 9.11 with the latest version. I am trying to play an intro and then a random trailer. But only the intro and movie get added to the playlist.
If i select trailer only movie starts playing. I m using a local folder, downloaded from apple site and .mov files. e.g - acrossthehall-tlr1_h720p.mov
I deleted the script & reinstalled - no luck.
I m new to this so let me know wht information would be helpful for debug and i can provide the same
I am using the latest version of Aeon 65 as my skin and press the cinema button to start the script
I tried with Confluence, press Theater and am getting the same issue
P.S - looked at the code and put a -trailer at the end of the file name and that makes it work. Is there any other way for the script to play of the video files in the folder without a -trailer?

there is a bug with local folder ( i have fixed here ), so post your folder structure and a debug log.
v0lrath, did you make a NR not rated? i have a few movies with no ratings.
i've added more intro videos, the slideshow works good, randomizing single slides with q and a.
i may release this before it's finished to get feedback.

Which ones do you get captchas on? I never got one, but all I got were Dolby/DTS/THX videos. Quite frankly, I don't have the bandwidth to download a ton of them and upload them somewhere else.

thx, but you only have to press it once. must have thought since i missed it three times it was different.
that NR says film, did you change the others to film. film might be better.
yes you did, looks good.
i get errors about unknown data on the layers. i disregard and most of it looks there, but the NR doesn't have this film has not been rated.

Yes, changed them all. The MPAA never uses 'movie' in their ratings language.
Also, just found this torrent which contains all the videos from demo-world in one place. That's about as easy as it gets.

You are probably missing the font Myriad Pro. I didn't save the .PSD with a configuration for the NR, but it is easy enough to move the words around. It's sort of a messy file- I didn't try to make it easy for others to edit it, I just figured I'd upload it in case someone really wanted to. If you're wondering about the R layer being rasterized, it was a quick and dirty way to remove the middle from the 'R' itself instead of cutting it out of the vectorized version.

so.... do the ratings NOT need to be video form? If not, mine are ready to go. I was also thinking of something last night that you might want to incorporate...
You can set up profiles on XBMC and set up parental controls, but wouldnt it be easier to have the script detect what kind of movie is playing and have parental controls built right into HTE?

My folder structure was fairly simple I:\Trailers - the folder contains trailers downloaded from apple's wesbite with movie-720p.mov as file names.
Is there a specific debug log for the script or you are looking for the one in xbmc folder (xbmc.log?) - sorry but I am new to this so not sure on this

trailers require movie_720p-trailer.mov
