VDPAU and SVN Build? - Dougie085 - 2009-08-06 Ok so I needed to install a newer version of XBMC then what was in the repositories. So I grabbed an SVN version but now I don't see any option for VDPAU in the video settings? Any help? - prae5 - 2009-08-06 How did you build it? Did you enable VDPAU when you compiled it? - Dougie085 - 2009-08-06 I didn't complile it it was a precompiled build. Do you think that's what happened? - Dougie085 - 2009-08-06 I followed this guide here http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=54350&highlight=SVN It mentions something about Nvidia 180 drivers so I even tried reverting to those. The only options I get in the Render Method is Software, Advanced Shaders (GLSL), and Basic Shaders (ARN). - prae5 - 2009-08-06 Pass - i don't use those builds so can't say how they are built, i would be suprised if they don't enable it though. Can you confirm the version you are using. - magnock - 2009-08-06 I have the same problem, no VDPAU option when upgrading with the last SVN from http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc/ , I'm using compiled version R22022 compiled 5 august 2009 and I can't read my 1080p movies. do you have any ideas how we can correct this ? - vikjon0 - 2009-08-06 why not try e.g. the official svn? - Dougie085 - 2009-08-06 Do you have a link to the official SVN? I tried a couple different ones and am using R22022 as well. - tslayer - 2009-08-06 How about starting with a debug log? Please read the sticky on how to report a problem in a useful manner. Thanks. - vikjon0 - 2009-08-06 Quote:Do you have a link to the official SVN?http://www.xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=33327 - Dougie085 - 2009-08-06 vikjon0 Wrote:http://www.xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=33327 Installed this version and now XBMC just keeps crashing. It does have the VDPAU option though, if only the dang thing would stay up. - vikjon0 - 2009-08-06 Ok. Dont know about the crashing. I use that version together with many others. I suggest that you either make a clean install based on one of the howtos or post a debug log for the developers. - Dougie085 - 2009-08-06 1. XBMC SVN build 21936 available here https://edge.launchpad.net/~team-xbmc-svn/+archive/ppa 2. Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 3. I386 4. PPA 5. 21936 Revision 6. My problem is I don't have the VDPAU option in the list of render methods. I don't know if this is enough info? - tslayer - 2009-08-06 No it is not. Please read sticky on how to post in a useful manner. Specifically, debug log. - vikjon0 - 2009-08-06 Quote:I don't know if this is enough info? You will soon find that they insist on a full debug log.
