Ive updated using the repo installer to 1.50 and it seems i have the same issue as others had before me.. Its unclear to me how to resolve this exactly so any help is apreciated.

17:55:34 T:3077560176 M:2874101760 ERROR: CGUIMediaWindow::GetDirectory(?) failed

debug log: http://pastebin.com/bRpADZr1

Ive re-installed the opensubtitles_osd script and re-applied the skin hack but it still doesnt work. It shows me the list of subtitles on the screen but when i select one to download it tells me: "You can't save subtitle to Selected destination. Please choose different Subtitle folder under ... Would you like to go there now? Yes/No". This is probably related to the error that it cant find the movie directory. It doesnt matter if i select 'custom folder' or 'movie folder'.

I'm running latest linux ubuntu with xbmc 9.11. Any help is apreciated and let me know if more info is required. Btw its a great script (if it works Tongue)

Script is still not able to cope with stacked movies. On my to-do list.

Having the exact same issue also on windows. Script used to work fine, both on 9.11 and on the svn version before the merge. Now it's not working anymore for an unknown reason.

Actually, there were various steps. The first few days after install, worked fine. Then like 2 weeks ago (sorry can't relate to versions as I wasn't paying attention and had auto update checked) what happened what this: I would download a subtitle fine, then when trying to do it again for another file the whole xbmc UI would just freeze, sometimes showing up a partially transparent opensubtitle-osd dialog sometimes not.
Had to kill the process xbmc.exe manually every time.

Then a couple days ago it's simply not working anymore. Looking at the debug log I see a GetDirectory failed, but can't assume it's related.

I swear I haven't changed a thing to my setup during this time.

Now I tried to set it up on the latest svn build, setting up the proper settings string in guisettings.xml, but the log says it can't find the script com.xbmc.subtitles.script, or special://home/addons/com.xbmc.subtitles.script, or special://home/addons/com.xbmc.subtitles.script/default.py ...

So basically nothing works anymore. Huh

Has the script changed in the meantime? how can I either set it up to work in a svn build or what files do I need to erase to reset everything back to scratch?

Strange.. not sure where that 'stacked' came from. Ive tried again and the output is similar but this time with absolute paths: http://pastebin.com/hB3z0YJh - same error though.

Hope this helps else let me know what i can do.. Tried to look into it but I cant find where GetDirectory() is called from.

- amet - 2010-04-23

GetDirectory() is not your problem, I get it all the time. post the whole log maybe something is hiding in it.

Thanks for the quick response. I just re-installed xbmc, trashed my ~/.xbmc. Then launched it, installed svn repo installer, installed opensubtitles_osd, applied skin hack and loaded xbmc with debug..

Then started a movie and pressed the subtitle button. The interface comes up showing 'searching for subtitles..' xmbc keeps running but the interface is unresponsive. If i press escape it kills the script. This is the case for opensubtitles and sublight.

Hey guys,

opensubtitles.org website has been down for me for a few days now. Sublight used to work through the script, but now, sublight doesn't work either (for sublight, the site in browser works, but not the script). It searches for a looong time (I waited several minutes) didn't time out like it does on opensubtitles.org, and when I try to quit by pushing "home" button, I get a "script failed" error.

Is anybody else having the same problems??

http://pastebin.org/170765

thanks

EDIT: I noticed kwek posted about the same problem while I was writing my post

- amet - 2010-04-23

yeah, there seems to be an issue with sublight. I have fixed it, I will update the SVN repo later.

- amet - 2010-04-23

SVN repo installer has OpenSubtitles_OSD v 1.51

Fixed: Sublight.si search and download functions

Exactly the same problem. I suggest a way to choose the first subtitles repository searched. As Opensubtitles.org is down (any idea on why?) it would be great to start with the working ones. I'll try the new version.

Edit: Tried 1.51 and sublight.si works fine. But the script still starts with Opensubtitles.org which has been down for a while. Is it possibly to manually alter the order in which the repositories are checked?

have you looked under script settings?

you can disable OpenSubtitles and set the default service

not sure why OpenSubtitles.org is down, nothing but the forum works

Confused I feel so very stupid right now. Thanks for your answer. Great settings are available. Thanks!

- ashlar - 2010-04-24

Actually... the setting that manages the default service works fine. I managed to have that set as sublight.si

But the following option is Search on Opensubtitles.org even though I completely disabled in the settings. Ideally, considering OS.org is down, I would like to eliminate it from the cycle. The settings page seems to imply that that should be possible, but in reality this doesn't seem to be the case.

Once it goes to Opensubtitles.org and finds 0 subs, only then I have the chance to check on podnapisi (or however it is called).

Sorry?!? You must be joking. Real time updates and instant help, you are a real gentleman. Thank you so much. By the way, apart from anything else, thanks for the plugin itself. It's a real time saver.

Edit: just checked 1.52, everything works perfectly. Thank you so much!
