Make sure you have downloaded the whole rar, I downloaded it with chromium and end up with a 25mb rar, the extraction gave me an error, but the skin seems to work, redownloading with firefox worked fine, make sure the rar is 88.1MB

compiling yourself would indeed be the best thing to do.
another option is to download the precompiled version from the 'xbmc nightly builds' site,
although i'm not sure whether or not they're 'Live' compatible....you may have to install some dependencies first.

hit 'm' on keyboard or 'menu' on remote to bring up the player controls.
the button on the right is used to play dvd discs.

I was able to install weather plus but when I run it I get the error:
Python script failed
I'm on windows 64bit, latest xbmc, transparency 2.0
EDIT: after following carefully the instruction on post 1 worked!

any tip how to solve this??

Hi ronie,
I found a relatively simple way to modify the highlight colors but I do have a question. The font colors were easy ti do because you already had a provision for it in the settings in the Appearance page and I also know that there is a Theme menu but I am not sure as to how to implement it. Would there be a separate texture.xpr for each color which means X amount of copies for all the graphics and therefore increasing the size of the whole skin... any thoughts?

yes, you'll have to create a new textures file, although the name should be different. for a green colortheme, just use green.xpr
if you do this, you can then select 'green' from the theme menu to use it.
the new texture file should only contain the modified images, xbmc will fallback to the main textures.xpr file for all the other images.
sure, it will increase the size of the skin by a few MB, if people are worried about that, you can always distribute it as a separate package.

-I did try to clean libraries ( Settings / Video / Library /Settings and Settings / Music / Libray / Settings ) and I could not get the data deleted.
What did I do wrong ?
-After skin configuraion, if I do a copy of all skin folder, doest it works i a fresh XBNC instal ?

the skin settings are saved in guisettings.xml in your userdata folder, so as long as you don't delete this folder everything should still work fine after reinstalling xbmc.
