ronie Wrote:well sure it's possible, but keep in mind xbmc stores Movie and TV Show fanart in the same folder. so with the way i've implemented it, it will show both.

This is what I use and I'm sure this would help with this mod.

I've been using it for a while and currently I have Transparency pointing to each folder that it kicks out the files for directly out of the database.

thanx for the tip. i'll make the image path user configurable, so anyone can change it if they like.

Thanks I had to edit the guisettings.xml file or whatever it was manually because I couldn't get to the location in windows originally.

As for that script I run it once after I update my database with new items. I normally run it via file manager since I don't have scripts shown on my screen. So far it works perfectly in my Xbox and my PC. I don't know about Mac or Linux personally.

RustyCage Wrote:Can this be done with the Music-menu aswell? I was thinking it would look cool with a cd-wall and the cd-cases (some of them) where changing artists or a pile of cd-cases and the top case changing pictures. Know what i mean?

Or a livestage with jumbotrons on each side of the stage and changing pictures in the jumbotrons.
Like this stage: http://www.ratsound.com/cblog/uploads/live_stage.jpg

if you or someone else can come up with a nice background image for music, i'll add it as well.

Thanks! I'll start looking for a nice looking cd wall/cd pile

Had a search around last night and came up with this.

A little cropping and zooming and these could work.
Perhaps add a slow transition between the covers randomly.

just perfect!

you seem to know your way around photoshop, so would it be possible to add a background glow/gradient? something like the tv screen image has...it doesn't have to be exactly the same, but something similar would be nice.

the idea is nice, but i'm afraid you'll bumb into the same issue as jpf55 had with his video screen...i think it would take way too much cpu power to get this done.

Hello ronie,

Can't wait until your next release....you're doing a f.... great job!!!!!!!!

One more feature request: There's a skin called Back-Row with a nice little feature and maybe this could find it's way to transparency!

If you start a movie a curtain rises and a counter starts from 5 to 1.

I think it's nice but not a must have.

Carry on and many thanks

Oliver

Cheers.

i had a look at Back-Row, but i can't find that feature?
if i start a movie...well the movie just starts, no curtain, no clock, no nothing...
