a suggestion
maybe you can change now playing osd (correct me if im wrong
) on home screen to lower right and just show the icon because song title,singer, album n duration already displayed.
i think it would create cleaner look

don't expect a lot of change in the memory department, but I'm sure there is still a little fat to be trimmed.
Will look at the visualisation problem. I take it that the second screenshot was from PM3 skin? No doubt it's something simple like a change in the xml file layout that I was not aware of. This is an area that has changed due to the Add-ons updates, so probably xbmc4xbox changed something and it no longer matches what I am doing. Will look at and see what I find.

yes, it is a bit silly to show the info twice on the same screen. Will probably just turn off the info in the bottom of the screen when OSD is shown. I will add this to my todo list.

man how did you manage to get it to that state. Give me a step by step please as that looks awful and it definitely needs fixing. In my mind what you should see is the upper blue outlined area ONLY.
Thinking about it could you please post a debug log (FULL) of a session where you get the skin into that state. Debug log will show me what skin files are being loaded at that point, then I can go about turning off the extra (un-needed) screen elements with a few updated visible conditions.

Yep that helped. Working on it (and a couple of other problems). Will post a patch zip when I have things sorted, but it may be a little while. Thanks for the report.

OK will add it to the list of things to check. Might be a little while before I get onto this as have picked up a little friend (very, very little friend) from the kids and their school friends. When I get over the damn thing will have a look.

i want to add a couple thing
it would be great if now playing osd suport scroling text for title etc that too long
maybe you can add up & down arrow on shutdown & restart, it will be easier for new xtv saf user
and last (for now
)when i try to change sort to Ascending/Descending, the arrow doesnt highlited

PLEASE keep the bug reports coming, as most of what you have mentioned has been completely under the radar. Really the next release is mainly a bug stomp, code clean-up, so the more bugs you spot the more get fixed (I hope that made sense, I really need to get to bed).

No, it's in those views, just a timing issue. If you want to play it's in the includes.xml file (about line 124 in section 'SortLetterNotification') you need to play with the '<animation>' lines. Probably the 'delay' on the hidden animation (reduce it), but might also have something to do with the 'time' value.
At any rate, backup the includes.xml file and remember ' I, your government and the IMF will disavow all knowledge if things go wrong', you have been warned
