achvd / blu-ray ISO - rayholland - 2009-10-16

Hi,

I have recently build my first linux xbmc-HTPC. It runs the lastest xbmc (svn) on Moblin 2.0 final. The hardware i use is a pov 330 ion board with a Solid state disk.

XBMC works fine (love the vdpau feature), but i can not play my avchd 1080p ISO collection.

I saw there was a feature request for this. Can anyone inform me on the exact status for this request?

I saw that some guy named Jorgen Lundman had made a patch for libdvdnav to support UDF2.50. Does anyone know if this patch can be used in xbmc?

Best Regards,
Raymond

No, that patch was submitted but never committed by upstream libdvdnav devs and it just rotted. Someone would have to re-sync and re-submit the patch and maybe if the sun does not fall out of the sky, it might be accepted by upstream libdvdnav devs.

ok, i see. but what now? i have contacted Jorgen and this is what he said:

>Be aware that by just replacing the existing libdvdnav/dvdread with mine,
>wont just make blurays work (or rather, UDF2.50). Since libdvdnav only
>deals with titles etc. I added a new functionality to opendir/readdir/closedir
>for UDF2.50 disks, which also would need to be added to xbmc.

>Not particularly hard, just saying it would need some work in xbmc as well.

>Lund

Can the xbmc team pick this up? the latest patched libdvdnav/dvdread are in llink sources 2.2.2 (see http://www.lundman.net/ftp/llink/llink-2.2.2.tar.gz)
