Btw to fix the scraper is enough to change the regexps to match movieplayer.it strings of the new layout.
You have to know how to use regular expression (here a good tutorial LINK), and on the xbmc wiki there is a good guide to understand xbmc scrapers (LINK).

I've forked gulp's repo on github and made some changes.
The search works again and downloads some infos from movieplayer but not all of them (no posters, no fanart, no outline, etc).
I will try to fix it in the following days but at least it's usable again.

Until a new release is made, you can just download this file:

60% of titles not found, and the ones that get correctly scraped are missing the plot.

Fixed for new movieplayer site layout and re-organized for getting as much as possible info from this site. All others from IMDB and TMDB.
Works much better using Bing search engine.
Rename folder or file name to be exactly identical to movie title present in movieplayer.it.
In case scraping is not correct or fanart is missing, try adding the Year at the end of folder or file name (e.g <movie title> - <Year>)

Tested with my movie library of around 450 films.

I have created a fork from offical repo and issued a pull request. Up to the Kodi Team to accept. Until then you can download from:
