Apologies if this question has been answered before. This is obviously a very long thread so its hard to search well.

I have an arch linux system and have installed XWMM via the XBMC installer. XBMC Arch package version 10.1-1. I have an apache web server on the system (it serves mythweb, monitorix, monit etc). The web scripts for these are located in /srv/http/. Eg /srv/http/mythweb. How do I get XWMM working in this environment?

I have tried creating a symlink from /srv/http/XWMM to /home/ben/.xbmc/addons/webinterface.XWMM but this does not work. In my browser, the path does automatically change from [ip]:[port]/XWMM to [ip]:[port]/XWMM/movies/index so the symlink is pointing correctly and /home/ben/.xbmc/addons/webinterface.XWMM/index.html is being read. However the web page remains blank.

Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,

using Eden-Beta2, XWMM 2.03, movie scraper tmdb:
It is not possible to change the scraped movie-set. Example: For Batman (1989) I had manually (via XWMM) assigned the movie-set "Batman Collection". After new scrape (cause I've reripped the batman-dvd), the movie appears under "The Batman Collection". It is not possible to change the set back to "Batman Collection" or change the old ones to "The Batman Collection".

Eden Beta 2, XWMM 2.03, google chrome:
Movie library information seems to show properly.
Genre editing seems to work but it doesn't!! It's possible to change genres but this change does not happen properly. For instance, I changed all my animations to be only in the genre "Animation". In XWMM, it made their genres be "none" as in, when going to "movies by genre" it lists all of my animations under "genre=none". Interestingly, when choosing any single movie, the genre shown for them is "Animation". In XBMC also, it shows genre as "Animation" but does not show them in the Animation folder when in genre view.

What are your XBMC settings for the default web interface? You could try to set it to XWMM.

Yeah, I have some issues with genres. I also need to finalize testing with Eden Beta 2.

Thanks

A couple aof questions for you:
Have you tried to remove the movie from the set (empty the field and save), refresh your page then try adding it again ?
In movie set management, do you see the two sets (The Batman collection and Batman collection) ?

Let me know

Removing and readding works great!
Yes, in the set-mgmt both sets are available. I'm little bit confused, cause since beta2 the tmdb-addon scrapes also set-information, if available on tmdb.
Thanks for your help!

slash Wrote:Can't replicate your problem, could you confirm your XBMC and XWMM versions.
On my side I'll try to replicate it in my production env.
Thanks

It seems to be working fine now although I don't think anything has changed. Maybe it was just an issue with caches or something that has since cleared.

However, I'm still having an issue where genres only update the Movie table of the database and not the actual genre links in the database.

Hi,

I'm already working to include rescrapping from the XWMM web interface. I rather not touch the imdb number field, but I'll see what can be done in the mean time.
Thanks

Alright! Sounds good, an easy way to update a post that is indexing wrong by xbmc would be to add the imdb number, and then click search and u get all the new information.. only one field to put new info in and u get everything u want. just an idea.

thanks for the great work!

Hi Rumik,
Sorry for the delay, I didn't forget your issue. It's just that I need to setup a mysql server to test it and replicate your issue.

I should have some time this week end.
thx

Interesting, I never tried that. It makes your request in a higher priority Wink
