RE: [Web Interface Addon] XWMM - XBMC Web Media Manager - ady199 - 2012-07-20

Yep, I'm using Eden 12.0 (xbmc-20120717-b4c6016-master-atv2) and I installed v2.0.8 from the zip file (link on the first page)

its been said several times on this page and the previous one that XWMM does not work with xbmc12, you really must read a bit before reporting problems and asking for help.

I don't have time to read all the threads and usually just look at the first page - if there is a problem with this version on XBMC 12, then it might be an idea to edit the first page

RE: [Web Interface Addon] XWMM - XBMC Web Media Manager - MANswers - 2012-07-24

I have managed to install XWMM correctly, and managed to add movies to the movie set.
Some movies show up two places, few movies are still sitting out of the movie set folder at the same time within the movie set folder.

Please look at the screenshot below.

Image

As u can see my cursor is highlighted at the Fast and Furious Collection, now all the five parts are sitting inside that movie set folder, plus they are sitting outside the movieset folder as seen in the pics.
However i do have Both the Kill Bill volumes sitting inside the movie set folder and not outside, which is about right.

In the above screenshot u can see Fast and Furious collection and Godfather collection, the movies are inside the movie set folder as well as showing outside as well.

Please guide

I am eagerly waiting for the bugs to be worked out......I used to use XWMM to manage my nfo files and help with sets. Since I have moved to Eden XWMM has not functioned correctly. Is there any update on this project?

Yes....I saw that.....and I reviewed all of the posts. I can not get XWMM to function with either Firefox or IE 8 with Eden and a MySql database (Windows). I need to know what info I should supply to help trouble shoot this add on.

Thanks.....

I apologize in advance if this is something I should have read somewhere else, but I am not sure where to start searching.

Editing the meta data for music album titles in xwmm does not show characters like é etc. correctly and then the letter is just omitted in xbmc library mode. XWMM interface shows a <?>, so I assume this is some sort of charset issue somewhere, perhaps a setting I need to change?

It works fine in artist names, but not in album titles. Thanks

Hi,

May I suggest some userfriendly considerations?
1) Mark the addon as broken in the Eden repository.
2) Put a note on the first post that this addon doesn't work in Eden.

Another thing that you might want to consider:
In 2.0.8, the changelog hasn't been updated. Also, it seems that 2.0.8 does not honor the typical directory naming for addons (it's called XWMM, instead of webinterface.XWMM).

It's working fine for me in Eden 11.0. I'm using 2.0.6.

2.0.6 definitely does not work with eden/11, it may say its 2.0.6 but i suspect you're running 2.0.8 which works fine with eden/11 but not froyo/12.

Quick look at the changelog, it shows that the last version is actually 2.0.7.

So is it being fixed to work on XBMC 12.0Huh? This is an amazing feature and seems to be the only easy way to edit your meta data. I'm having the exact same problem the above mentioned....

I will be maintaining two versions of XWMM one for Eden and one for Pre-Frodo that will be called SVN version.

Thanks sej7278, and I appreciate that it is frustrating when we don't read all of the previous pages. One last question - where can I get the SVN version referred to in your quoted postHuh I would like to go back to the nightly frodo builds....
