Update XBMC, now can't play videos - mgchan - 2009-11-09

Installed on Mythbuntu (Hardy) via PPA. Kernel version 2.6.24-25. amd_64 architecture.

XBMC Version: Starting XBMC, Platform: GNU/Linux. Built on Nov 5 2009 (SVN:24283)

NVidia info:
#14:42:50 T:140409124554720 M:1747513344 NOTICE: GL_VENDOR = NVIDIA Corporation
#14:42:50 T:140409124554720 M:1747513344 NOTICE: GL_RENDERER = GeForce 7600 GS/AGP/SSE2
#14:42:50 T:140409124554720 M:1747513344 NOTICE: GL_VERSION = 2.1.2 NVIDIA 173.14.12

(but this has also happened with 169, 185 and 190 drivers)

Log file: http://pastebin.org/51993

Basically, I finally ran a system update after some time. When I try to play a file, xbmc just quits. The log file was made with an mpeg2 file (contained within a .vob), though the same happened with H264 files in .mkv containers. I am able to load these files and play them back in Movie Player.

I have tried with all different kinds of NVidia drivers without luck.

Any help is appreciated. I have tried to generate a core file but for some reason xbmc does not create one (I did try ulimit -c unlimited as described in the HOWTO post).
