I tried to ply an avi-file with dd5.1 and it just crashed after 1 or 2 seconds… What did I do wrong? - Riderzzz - 2009-11-18 xbmc.log and crashreporter.log and console.log is needed for this. i dont know what to look for, but many users here can. But they do need those logs ![]() xbmc.log: /Users/frontrow/Library/Logs/xbmc.log Console log: /Library/Logs/Console/501/console.log Crashreporter log: /Users/frontrow/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/CrashReporter.log - davilla - 2009-11-18 PhyshBourne Wrote:What does the above failure mean? A xbmc.log file while you are trying this would be helpful. Use a pastebin site to post it. The crashreporter file will be most helpful. see my sig for info as to were these logs are located. - PhyshBourne - 2009-11-19 Thank you very much. Indeed. I'm not sure how to use pastebin - I hope I got it right… I used the same nick like here… XBMC-Log: http://pastebin.com/pastebin.php?dl=m1c990ad

THumb-gen related crash, it is fixed in trunk and will be in the next alpha/beta release, until then turn off auto thumb-generation. - PhyshBourne - 2009-11-19 Hm… thank you very much, again, for your help. Strange… the same crash happens with Boxee, and there I already turned off auto thumb generation… hwere do I turn off that in XMBC? - davilla - 2009-11-19 PhyshBourne Wrote:Hm… thank you very much, again, for your help. settings -> video -> somewhere there. - PhyshBourne - 2009-11-21 cheers, m8! but somehow i'm blind… can't find it… where exactly di i have to search? - oconnellc - 2009-11-21 Go to the home screen for xbmc and then click settings -> video -> general and it is in the 'general' page. - PhyshBourne - 2009-11-21 Thank you… that hit the spot! cheers, big ears… ![]() |
