Yes.
Look at VDR man pages, specifically VDR remote.conf file.

LOL

Sorry for taking longer than expected. I'm debugging a problem with my testing machine so I can update every machine to 10.1.

I'm going to try to have it ready today. If not, tomorrow morning I'll publish it.

The more I dig into about this, the more problems I find. Apparently Ubuntu 10.10 doesn't like this kind of remote.

All my notes that work with Lucid, NONE of them work with Maverick. When the f*ck are the lirc maintainers going to learn not to piss everybody off?

Every time the same thing... It's getting old. Lirc already is a pita to get working properly without the "3 patchs removed, adding in one patch now" kind of development... F*ck!!

@fatez, use this guide. At least it works with XBMC so you can enjoy something while I try to get this working with lirc.

Does anyone know if VDR can work with event clients?

Ok. Update info.

I can get it working with LIRC again but, for some strange reason, XBMC "sees" the keypress and doesn't react.

Never happened to me before. Still investigating.

hi Hudo,

any good news? Big Grin

- h.udo - 2011-03-19

Hi.
Not yet. I have a few theories to try this weekend. I can get most keys working, but not all. Or I can get all keys working but not recognized by XBMC and VDR. That is, XBMC and VDR are 'blind' do LIRC. Seriously weird...

Besides that, it seems that a few lirc kernel modules changed and require a different 'approach'. Business as usual when lirc is the subject. I'm really starting to hate lirc maintainers...

As soon as I have a working config, I will post it. Please be patient. Sorry for the delay. I didn't thought it would take such a big effort to make it work with Maverick.

@fatez, try this.

Hi H.udo,

thanks for ur work but no lucky for me.

Im running Yavdr 0.3, xbmc is perfect but vdr has no remote. Sad

- h.udo - 2011-03-21

yaVDR doesn't work like that.
It has a system of 'templates' for the config files. Go to vdrportal.de and search for 'hama'. They have at least two threads describing how to make it work. I once had the same problem with yaVDR.

Cool! Those remotes rock!
I just finished assembling a system to a friend that uses that Imon PAD remote and that VDF encased in a Nox Live. Can't be sure about the VFD, do. The one I had in my hands yesterday has the 15c2:0036 IR/VFD version.

I used OpenELEC distro. He is a XBMC newbie, and OpenELEC makes my life easier. Big Grin
