- djdafreund - 2010-04-21 no rush on that Sharpe. Just whenever is cool. And thanks. - kiboy6 - 2010-04-22 Sharpe Wrote:Oh I see what you wanted now - okay I've added this effect - does that not look a bit "jumpy" to you though? Having the case disappear for an instance like that. Thanks Sharpe ! Personally I prefer it like this, as it gives the illusion of looking at a new DVD or Blu-Ray each time. To me it doesn't look any jumpier than it would if there were no case at all - after all the image is changing every time. For my taste this view is pure perfection now - thank you so much for everything. Quote:I'd like to vote for a longer list as well. I have 300+ movies on the server and scrolling down 4 at a time can take a long time. I love the current list view because I can get to the movie I want pretty quickly. It looks great though and I can see how you would want to keep the fanart more pristine . Just my 2c I have almost 500 movies, but I find that the short list is no problem if you use the page up / down commands in XBMC. That lets you get from top to bottom in seconds - Sharpe - 2010-04-25 Okay I've added a longer list option in skin options under the "Menus" heading. - Master_Nick - 2010-05-08 Nice Skin! But do i have a much older Version? My Volume bar doesn't show up and this view type you show in the image in your post isnt available for me. ? - Sharpe - 2010-05-08 Hi Nick maybe - try downloading an up to date version of the skin from the download links and seeing if that fixes things. - Master_Nick - 2010-05-08 The link in your signature? oder from Download section which is more up to date ? - Sharpe - 2010-05-09 The links at the start of this thread are up to date or the sig link. - Master_Nick - 2010-05-10 Mh error still exists - i'm using XBMC 2010-04-27 SVN rev29407 should I use another version? - Sharpe - 2010-05-10 They stopped releasing the official nightly builds a while back when all the work started on the latest version of xbmc. The build you are using has a bug in it that doesn't use the default widescreen folder specified in the skin.XML. It's pulling it's video views from the pal folder instead of the pal16x9 folder. As a fix try copying over the contents of the 16x9 folder into the pal folder. - kiboy6 - 2010-05-11 Sorry if i have missed an option somewhere...but is there currently any way to manually scroll through the (often very long) music artist /album description on the info page? (I know it does it automatically eventually but this is at a much slower pace than reading pace.) Thanks! - Sharpe - 2010-05-11 Hi kiboy6 - I didn't add scrollers or page up/down buttons to the info dialogs because I was originally trying to go for a less is more kind of thing using auto scrolling - but yeah I take your point about the delay in scrolling and sped it up a notch. - kiboy6 - 2010-05-12 Sharpe Wrote:Hi kiboy6 - I didn't add scrollers or page up/down buttons to the info dialogs because I was originally trying to go for a less is more kind of thing using auto scrolling - but yeah I take your point about the delay in scrolling and sped it up a notch. Thanks for the update - although it's now probably a bit too fast for my reading pace. I understand the "less is more" thing though - do you reckon it would work if there were an option to disable scrolling and use "page up / down" buttons on keyboard or remote to read more info? - Sharpe - 2010-05-12 I've gone ahead and put in page up / page down controls - still tried to keep them unobtrusive though. - Geeba - 2010-05-12 Hmmm not come across this one before - looks really nice, if I'm reading the thread right its still reasonably xbox friendly or have you moved on from tidy code to horsepower hungry? - Sharpe - 2010-05-12 Hi Geeba Hmmn I've gotta say I have taken the shackles off somewhat recently but with the right sized fanart and covers it should work fairly well on the xbox. :\ |
