- Hjord - 2010-05-29 Does it support banner for tv shows? - kiboy6 - 2010-05-29 Hjord Wrote:Does it support banner for tv shows? Yes, Back Row has a few great TV show views that use banner images. - kiboy6 - 2010-05-31 I just tried to change the single default music fanart to one of my own, but XBMC isn't picking upon the change. The file I replaced was "Now Playing Background.jpg" in the media folder. Was that the right file to change? Has XBMC also cached the default image somewhere that I need to delete? Thanks! kiboy6 Wrote:Quick feature feasibility question - didn't think it deserved a designated thread: - Sharpe - 2010-05-31 Yep that's the correct image - so when you change it and rebuild it still shows the old image does it? That does sound like it's reading from a cache or perhaps another version of the skin located in Appdata perhaps? - kiboy6 - 2010-05-31 Sharpe Wrote:Yep that's the correct image - so when you change it and rebuild it still shows the old image does it? Well I had just changed it without rebuilding....does that mean running build.bat after swapping out the file? If so then I just tried that too and I still get the guitar...I only have BackRow folder in my appdata so it must be being cached somewhere.... - Sharpe - 2010-06-05 kiboy6 Wrote:Quick feature feasibility question - didn't think it deserved a designated thread: Hello just to let you know that I've added this - you can now set the location of your fallback slideshow in skin options. Once you set it the the fallback slideshow will display when no fanart is available. Oh and I've changed the default "Now Playing" image as well: - Sharpe - 2010-06-06 Another quick update - I've now made the file path label in the video info dialog hidden by default - just press down to activate it. - kiboy6 - 2010-06-07 Sharpe Wrote:Hello just to let you know that I've added this - you can now set the location of your fallback slideshow in skin options. This is such a cool feature - completely unique AFAIK to Backrow Thank you! (I love the new default image too - I copied it across to my designated fallback slideshow folder so it would show up in the slideshow). Incidentally if anyone wants some cool fanarts for this fallback slideshow, my gf upped 3 here :http://www.htbackdrops.com/search.php?search_user=ladybaby. Sharpe - one last idea I had for the music fanart slideshow: if no extrafanart is found under the "artist" name , would it be possible to check for an extrafanart folder under the "album artist" name, before resorting to the fallback slideshow? For example I have all my Hindhi movie soundrtracks tagged with "album artist" Bollywood OST. None of the actual artists have fanart, but i would be cool if the fanart slideshow could be made from the extrafanart folder inside the "Bollywod OST" folder. Oh, and also....Ken Burns is still not very smooth for me for me - does that not show up at your end? (cf. ,say, the fanart slideshow XBMC screensaver). Thanks - Livin - 2010-06-07 has this been updated to work with the add-on model in the latest builds? - kiboy6 - 2010-06-07 Yes, but you have to run the included .bat file to make it work: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=73909 - Sharpe - 2010-06-07 kiboy6 Wrote:Fantastic! This is such a cool feature - completely unique AFAIK to Backrow Nice images - cheers. I'm glad that you like the backup slideshow - all your idea mate. Well as for your album artist idea - the code takes your music share file path and compares the currently playing artist to that structure looking for that artist folder then the etrafanart folder within there to make up its slideshow images. In theory you could make it look for whatever currently playing tag you like. Ie tag your music genres "Bollywood" then put a folder in your music share called Bollywood and put an extrafanart folder in there and it would display from that genre. The problem with Album.Artist would be that it would often be the same as Artist. The trick would be writing something that looked at one now playing attribute first then if that was empty moving on to the next now playing attribute. - Let me have a think about it. Heh - Ken Burns still not smooth for you huh? We'll nail that one next. - Sharpe - 2010-06-07 Just a heads up the skin layout has been changed in readiness for easier future updating. Basically all default wallpapers and studio icons have been moved from the media folder into the images folder. The SVN and the ALT download links have been updated. If you spot any glitches please let me know. Thanks - djdafreund - 2010-06-09 Yeah, changes are being made so we can hopefully be one of the first set of theme's to be on the official XBMC add-ons svn. This means you will be able to update, etc from within XBMC. In time of course, and not until the XBMC team is finished and ready to have this stuff officially announced it's done and ready for prime time. (Just saying this so people don't expect this to happen soon.) More of 'behind the scene's info' only here. - Livin - 2010-06-09 just started using this skin... really like it. On question... can I use the curtain but stop the count-down animation? - Sharpe - 2010-06-09 Livin Wrote:just started using this skin... really like it. Hiya Livin - yes that's a setting under the "home" heading of skin options. |
