heh - it's not a noddy question Smile

You can get the latest version either from the XBMC SVN or the entire skin is hosted at the alt download link (both in the sig below).

If you download the version from the alt download link and select multiple home wallpapers in skin settings there are some hi res cinema themed backgrounds to replace the countdown image - you could try that see what you think.

Yeah I take your's and chareos' point about the watched icon and have replaced it with a simple tick - it needed sprucing up.

Thanks for the feedback - it's always good to hear people enjoying using it.

Sharpe:

As I've told djdafreund, if you'd like us to host your skin just let me know. Don't know about others, 4shared and the like are enough to make me want to jump off a cliff.

That would be great - yeah if you wouldn't mind sending me the details /uploading info and so on - I'd be very happy to take you up on that.

Sharpe,

I waited around to make sure it wasn't just a late upload thing but when I tried the latest version it didn't have the DVD bookmark support (at least not when playing .iso ) I appreciate the good work and I'm not in any hurry. Just pointing it out since you said it was already done.

Oh that's weird - I've just checked and it should be there. The conditional visibility options should make it appear one way or the other - I've just checked with an actual DVD and it shows up - I will dig out an iso and try it but it should work. If you try it again make sure you replace the previous version of the skin ie delete the old version to be sure it's copied over correctly.

- Drbell - 2010-01-23

Thanks. I picked up the latest version. Looks like the tick is missing. No sign of any watched marker. Not a complaint, just pointing it out.

- Sharpe - 2010-01-24

Yep sorry it's not enabled by default - you can enable it in skin settings

- Drbell - 2010-01-24

D'oh. Thanks for the reply.

Well I re downloaded from the link in your sig and then wiped out my XBMC and did a re-install of everything (including the skins), but still no bookmarks on my dvd .iso

I couldn't check a dvd disk as I don't have a drive.

I'm running in high def with wide screen. Is it possible the changes were made for the low def /4:3 side. Its been awhile since I edited skins (like 3 or 4 years), but as I recall back then there were two options.

Well yes that's what I was possibly thinking - that maybe you had an older copy of VideoOSD.xml in the PAL16X9 folder. Would you mind confirming that you only have VideoOSD.xml in the PAL folder please? Then that's ruled out.

Cheers

VideoOSD.xml is only in the PAL folder. This file was last modified on 1/21/10. I opened up the file and I believe this is the DVD menu controls (remember I have no skills. so this could be totally wrong). Looks like its there is a control for bookmarks, but I see no button.

In the future, you can use pastebin to paste your file, this way it won't waste space here. Just paste it there and put the link here to view. Thanks.

- Sharpe - 2010-01-26

mcoto - yep you've identified the lines of code that put the buttons on the OSD if there's a video menu available in the source being played - the other option is pretty much the same but without the DVD menu. I've no idea why you don't see the bookmarks button - there are only two options and they both should show the bookmarks button. You couldn't post a screen shot with your OSD up could you?

Cheers

- mcoto - 2010-01-26

Yeah. I'll use pastebin next time. Sorry about that. I did that right before bed so I didn't review the post. That was way longer than I thought it was.

I'll try and get you a screen shot tomorrow. I'll also try and install XBMC and Back-row on my test rig and see what happens.

Basically my menu looks exactely like it did before. There are buttons (from left to right) DVDmenu, playlist, skip back, rr, play, ff, skip forward, mute, video and audio

M

- djdafreund - 2010-01-28

Ok, all the new OSD button's are done now. Here's a screenie for ya.
