Maybe the TCP Listener/Receiver should be used instead (easier to pass more data?).

Don't know all data that can be passed. But for starters:

Incoming call
Incoming call picked up
Incoming call ended
Incoming SMS (text)
Phone number/contact

Yes...all possible.

Hi...

I discover this app today.. and bought it Smile

At home it's working (with the Wifi sleep problem)

But at work, i'm not seeing how to use it... (and that's way I bought it)

I'm on a LAN only (no Wifi), and connected to the Internet though a proxy.

How can I forward the events to my local PC?

You have to use the public ip of your local pc (if there is one) in that case.

I dont have a public Ip... I'm behind the company firewall

That would be hard to do unless you can connect your phone to your companies VPN.....not sure how else to circumvent that.....anyone have any ideas?

- stoli - 2010-01-26

I certainly can't think of another route. Without either wireless or a public ip, the vpn would be the only route I could think of. Even then, if they are using any sort of vpn client there's a strong chance the iphone couldn't connect/authenticate to the vpn anyway.

maybe some compatibility with notify.io ?

- zbuh - 2010-01-26

With this, we can solve this problem and maybe others...
and we get a more versatile system Smile

http://groups.google.com/group/notify-io/web/developers

its a simple HTTP request, with only 2 parameters: our email hash and our private key...

It should be simple... Smile

With a possible connection to the http://www.notify.io the possibilities are tremendous

Looks cool. I'll definitely look into it ! Never heard of this before, looks like it good solve some problems. Will take a while to figure out the API though.

Do you already use it?

So I'm adding EventGhost support, and notify.io, to complement the XBMC , and Growl support. Smile

zbuh: were you able to get the client to work at your office? I have not been able to figure it out Sad .... is there a desktop client for windows?

Its a windows Vista client... and no luck so far.
I've search a lot about this and notify.io seams to be the answer.

The cool thing is that notify.io was Mac only, but i've tested a windows client also Laugh

So with support from NotifyPro we get a lot of flexibility

...So doesn't work? I think it's not using a proxy to talk to http://notify.io ,

Notify.io works!

What does work is any method to push the iphone events into the Windows Machine Smile

I will add support for it....but currently I can't seem to send myself a test notification.

Mac/Growl user here, with NotifyPro set to alert me via the public IP of my home/office network.

Just wanted to say, I've been using this for a few days now and I love-love-LOVE it. I feel all warm and fuzzy when I see the alerts appear (even if my iPhone is sitting right next to me.) It's just so cool and works PERFECTLY!

I'm excited to see what's in store for this fantastic add-on.

johoja, you deserve a standing ovation. Big Grin

Thanks ! Appreciate it ! I'm glad you like it so much Smile you can always follow what I'm working on in the way of this app on the first page. I keep upaditing the todo log and the changelog constantly just to keep people interested and mostly also to keep myself organized.

Also, as you can see I'm pretty open to suggestions I've pretty much said okay to every idea on here from other users. So if you have more by all means. Let me know Smile.
