HELP: XBMCLive runs fine but not after install on HD - dvgeek - 2009-12-19

XBMCLive runs great if I boot from the CD (from the ISO) when I choose Intel GPU
After install on my HD, when I boot the m/c, I get the XBMC initial splash screen, then I get the error -
[drm:intelfb_restore] *ERROR* Failed to restore crtc configuration: -22
And I get to the login prompt. The error keeps repeating approximately every 15 seconds, even after logging in.
After going through the forums - I have come to the conclusion that it could be graphics initialization that is the issue, but I'm stumped why everything works from the ISO and does not work after install.
Please Help.

Update: Had the same issue with the final 9.11 release also.
Solved: Added the parameter vga=792 on the kernel line in grub. This solved the issue - was able to successfully install on the hard disk and boot of it. Having fun customizing and playing with it.
